We've had two motorhomes prior to our 2015 Entegra Anthem... no comparison, our Entegra is quiet ... when going down the road and also at campsites. I love our Entegra .... Does it drive like my BMW ... no, but I really enjoy driving it (ask Dan, he never gets to drive anymore!)

NOT!! I do believe it is a smooth ride, road dependant as others have mentioned. "Best Handling" No Way. Not on my 2018 Aspire. I'm still dealing Spartan on steering issues which they state are "Design Characteristics" Wanders down the road, can't turn lock to lock. Now before everyone jumps on the "Why would you need to turn Lock to Lock while not moving" Because my home state (Pa) says so.
So, yes it is smooth, somewhat quiet, but certainly not the best handling.

Paul, you can research my old posts and my front end problems going back to the purchase of my 14. Here is just one of them. http://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/koni...ng-297539.html It's a long read, but may help you find some satisfaction, it's what worked for me, thanks to others, and I tried it all.

My coach spent 6 weeks at Spartan, when new, working out a steering modification that effected many of the 14's. I fought front end problems and steering for 2 years. However, once the Koni's were add, the problems ceased and that 14 rode and drove like a luxury car. The current owner still raves about how much fun it is to drive. My 19 handles every bit as nice as the 14 finally did.
If you are still having problems with Spartan, it's time to have an independent shop look at it. I did, drove all the way to Columbia MO after leaving the Spartan shop at Entegra to Perry Legends that everyone on the forum had great success with...it worked they fixed what Spartan couldn't. By the time I got to MO, the right front tire edge was worn proving Spartan did not fix the problem.

It is not Entegra's fault, it is the fault of Rayco Grannig with them putting out a lemon or two for front ends. I had one and speak from experience. It takes the right front end man to find the problem, apparently Spartan did not have one at the time. Spartan does good work, but they have to have the right people at the right time to get the right job done. JME.

The problem can happen on any coach as they all use the same front ends depending on the model.

I hope some other PA owners comment on the turn lock to lock requirement. I’ve not tried exactly that as I can’t see any benefit and it would cause unneeded tire wear. But I sure have not had any problem going full lock from standing start with my 2018 Aspire. Wandering was never a significant problem and even better after ride height adjustment. Does dealing with Spartan mean you have gone to Charlotte? That may be the cure.

My 2 cents would be yes... quiet and smooth ... and I am picky..
I have owned 4 other motor homes and test driven many other brands and none
Hold a candle to my entegra anthem...

We have owned 3 Class A diesels. Monaco Signature, Tiffin Phaeton 42’, now the Anthem. After an all wheel alignment, Koni Shocks all the way around and tire inflation to match the corner weights, it is by far the smoothest ride I’ve experienced in an RV. Also, 1 finger driving and quietest too.

Best Handling ?

Brobox, I understand your recommendations. We have been to Spartan, Cummins of Harrisburg Pa, An Independent shop in Pa for a unbiased opinion, Twice at Josams in Orlando Fl, Plus have spoken to Reyco Granning field engineer and many other MH owners both Spartan and other brands. Front end has been lubed multiple times with both weight on and off front end.
I did read where a fellow had his rig to Spartan and it spent 3 days in the engineering dept and they found a fix. Im scheduled back to Spartan in July and will report results. Thanks for the recommendations.

Paul, you have done all the right things and then some. It is a shame that you also received one of Rayco Grannigs lemons. One of my problems that helped by 50% was the steering timing was 180 degrees out, but I am sure that has been checked. It wan't until the 4th of 5th visit to a shop including Spartan before that was discovered. Right mechanic in the right place at the right time. Sad, but that's the way it is with these front ends when there is a problem.

Now back to the OP's original issue.....

Yes, the Entegra's are very quiet and easy riding. However, the ride and noise in a coach are largely determined by the road or surface that you are trying to travel. I just returned from our winter trip to Arizona, and there were hundreds of miles in our 2019 Cornerstone that were like traveling in a new Lincoln or Cadillac on great roads.... quiet and smooth. However, there were also hundreds of miles on blacktop roads where 85% of the blacktop laid on the road had worn off from use and only 15% remained on top of the old surface that those roads were amazingly loud and uncomfortable. Some counties pay for resurfacing, and some counties pay for other more important problems and the hell with their interstates. On those road, and the hundreds of miles of poor concrete roads where each seam is unlevel, then the ride and noise in my coach can be almost unbearable on those roads.

Also, many of the 19 Cornerstones, and Anthems are having porpoising problems that have not really been resolved by Spartan.

So, is the ride and noise great? YES, sometimes. Is it noisy and bumpy and rough, Yes sometimes. However, there is not a coach out there for less than a million dollar investment that is going to be really quiet and nice. That just is not possible with our current state of infrastructure in this country.

Gary

Hivolt, good luck with your July appointment. That is your best bet to get a resolution. If I had your problem, I would take a 200 mile test trip after Spartan finishes and be prepared to take it back to them immediately if things are not satisfactory. If they can't fix it nobody can, so no sense leaving their area until it is working right.

I have to agree with Mr D.
From the top down in ride and comfort..
Prevost Conversion(s)
Newell
Country Coach (Dynomax chassis)

Foretravel (Those coaches built prior to FT going to the Spartan chassis)
and then Foretravel built on the Foretravel priority & exclusive designed Spartan chassis ..

ANY coach brand built on the standard Spartan chassis will drive/ride/handle like any other coach built on the identical Spartan chassis... Same can be said with coaches built on the Freightliner chassis..

Except that they are not identical. Spartan customizes their chassis to each manufacturer's specs. In addition to that, Entegra adds extra chassis bracing after Spartan delivers the chassis, and Entegra's thicker floor and superior insulation makes for a quieter environment whether driving or sitting still. All of which adds up to a more comfortable coach. Anybody who visits the Entegra factory can see these improvements being installed on the assembly line.

+1 -

We are sitting about 200 ft off I-10 in AZ - Entegra's thicker floor, Double windows and superior insulation makes for a quieter environment - 100%
