Jayco Parts Department

Is anyone else out there having problems with the Jayco Parts Department? It seems that the people they have picking the orders there can neither read or count. If this is wide spread and not just me it's costing them lots of money which jeopardizes the company and our support.

Not a bit. I have had several parts sent, only once was it the wrong part and it was an honest mistake. The correct part arrived in 2 days. I found if I email a picture of the part being ordered it made it much easier to make sure the correct part was being shipped. Nice thing about the smartphone the picture is being sent while I am on the phone with them.

I think all should note...if the part goes through the Jayco parts department, add days accordingly (recently, my add on days for a warped dryer door was about three weeks). research the part number, coordinate with Customer Service, order from manufacturer, receive, log into the facility, advise Customer Service to get shipping instructions, etc, etc, etc....and by the way, if it goes to a dealer for a fix, then add another couple of weeks, for them to do the same thing. Extraordinarily frustrating when you need something fixed, but that is their system. Hopefully, when you need a part, they can pull it off the line to accommodate, but if it is an internal part to OEM equipment, get ready to wait. JMHO

Sounds like they got their guys from Tiffin. It was rare to get the correct part from them, even after sending them a photo.

Will Entegra sell you parts? When I called them I was told they only sell parts to dealers.

When I called to order a few things, they told me they only sell to dealers. When I was there I asked Joyce about it and she said it was to protect the dealers. I wish they would change that policy, it's not always easy for us full timers to find a dealer.

The parts I had problems getting were order by CS to be shipped to me on warranty. Two and a half months and three shipments to get the correct part on one order. Wrong count on another. I'm not shipping the incorrect parts back. I'll return them at our PDI later this year.

In my experience, if OEM parts are available locally and it is a critical issue CS will almost always authorize your purchase and reimburse from a scanned and emailed receipt. Recently our step gearbox broke, Sabrina found the part at Camping World and I picked it up the next day.

I needed deco trim tape to cover wall staples in the lav. Required enough to go from the counter top to the ceiling. Got 50 feet.

I have had warranty parts sent to me by Entegra (Jayco) several times and the orders were always timely and correct.
