Keeping the baby shiny

Heads up to you full timers!!

How do you keep your coaches all shiny and clean when on the road? Especially since many resorts and parks don't allow you to wash your coach on site.

It's not easy! I use Blue Beacon Truck Washes even though I find that they leave streaks on the paint. Coach gets pretety ratty until I get home and can give it a proper wash and cleanup.

Tom,

It is getting increasingly frustrating. One of my recent parks, they didn't even want to allow hose rinse after scrubbing the bugs off the front. If you're in a drought area, I can understand the concern, but I have to say, in all the resorts we've been in I'd estimate that during the time we were there and if they allowed washing, well less than 5% of the folks washed their coaches.

either use a waterless wash product or use a mobile detailer.

I use the detailer spray when it is not too bad, but boy...you gotta be careful.

Please explain "gotta be careful" ... I just purchased a "waterless wash" system (wash wax.com).

I use a very good microfiber towel, but I still worry about dust and scratches in the clear coat if I don't get enough of the detailer fluid on the coach. Maybe over worrying it?!

Make sure to wax the entire coach a few times a year. It really helps to keep it cleaner, longer and it's much easier to clean when needed.

We have our RV washed and hand waxed twice a year by Sergio while we are south for the winter. Does a good job and costs 125. We winter in Yuma and there are lots of fellows who will do the work economically.

I use a waterless wash called Dryshine and it is easy to apply. then later after a move I use a California duster. Keeps all looking good and shiny and no hassel from CG owners.

We ordered, and am going to try Wash Wax All products from Aero Cosmetics. Aircraft RV Cleaner Waterless Wash Wax Detailing Products Supplies.
It was developed for the private aircraft industry because federally funded airports will not let you wash an airplane using anything that can run off into a drainage system.
They have several youtube videos on their products.
