It's a 120/240 volt 50 amp service. The welders are usually 240 volt 30 amp, dryer can be either depending on the house age and what code was.

I put in 2 different 50 AMP plugs. One for outside when we have guest to park their coach or are loading ours for a trip. the second is in the building where the coach is parked when not in use. Doesn't matter if it is winter or summer it is always plugged in, even after it has been winterized.

I installed the 50A circuit yesterday. The coach is quite happy now.
Thanks everyone.
One last question; I seem to recall PJ instructing us to "run the batteries down" every so often? This supposedly increases the longevity?
Can anyone comment on this?

Buddy, do a search on Equalizing.
Personally, I don’t do that on AGMs.

We also installed 50 amp in garage plus 1 oitside on exterior of garage wall plus a second outside underground to a post. We use them all from time to time.

I don’t excessively discharge my batteries, ever.... if you read all the battery guidance on-line and their actual data indicates that if you can control it, letting the batteries discharge more than 50% state-of-charge (~12.0 volts) leads to greatly reduced charge/discharge cycles. There is a lot of bad battery information out there. My opinion is that users should follow the advice of manufacturers.

My opinion, my batteries get run down enough just using the coach. Refrigerator running while traveling. An over night stay in a parking lot here and there uses the batteries. I read on my battery manufactures web site that I have 800 charges for the life of my batteries. No since just throwing some of them away.

I agree if you can do it... 50 Amp
Refrigerator is 5.3 Amps (does not include compressor startup)
Aqua Hot electric element is 1650 watts or 13.75 Amps alone...

It a standard 60 amp 240/120 receptacle. No different than the 50 amp range in homes (not counting old no-ground of course).
Although the RV 30 amp is unique, the 50 amp service is not.

For a 150’ run, you’ll need #3 copper to keep voltage drop under 3%. It will be expensive, but doing it right is best.

That is perfect for 100’. You’re right at 2% drop for the extreme case. Anything less than 50 amp draw on just one leg and/or drawing from both legs (which if course is the normal usage) and the drop is less.
