I had no change in steering with the Konis (front only), but then I had no steering issues that needed correction. I find the ride improved modestly, but not vastly so. I am surprised that my results are so limited compared to what others are reporting, but I am posting this so that others' expectations will be tempered and they won't be disappointed if they don't get a major improvement.

Koni's are not going to be for everyone. Those that have very good to perfect steering probably won't see much of a difference, except for bridge expansion joints.
Those of us that have not cared for the ways our coaches handled will see a noticeable difference. It's still the best $350. I have spent, your millage may be different. Looks like there might be two schools on the Koni's.

Just quoted $375 EACH for Koni shocks for spartan K3 20K front axle. Is this way out of line? Sure would like to tame those bridge approaches but that's quite a bite for uncertain results.

18,000 lb. max?
Looking at various websites and can only find Konis rated for up to 18,000# axles. Mine is 20,000#. Am I just out of luck?

I drove mine for the first time today after putting on front Konis, not a long drive - about 40 miles total, 20 miles of interstate and 20 miles of secondary roads.
When I backed out of the drive way, where there is a slight dip at the end of the drive and the first few blocks driving out of the subdivision I was disappointed because I didn't think there was any difference.
However once I got on roads where I was going more than 20mph there was a noticeable difference in the ride. The front was a good bit less 'squishy' than it had been. It now has a much nicer recovery from dips in the road than it did before.
As MrUSA said, I didn't notice any difference in steering, but I didn't have any steering issues to begin with. I'm not one of those with white knuckles any time a semi passes me on the interstate. Yes I have to make a minor correction when the nose of the semi gets to the tail of the RV, and again when the tail of the semi gets to the nose of the RV, but these are one-handed corrections and nothing that makes me nervous in any way.
So, not a huge difference, but a noticeable one. My goal was to remove the squishy feel in the front and they did that nicely.

I found that the Koni shocks helped the on- center feel and stability also.
My take on the response is that there is a little bump steer in the IRS on the Spartan chassis and with the better matched damping of the Koni shocks cuts down on the front end movement and thus cuts down on the bump steer effect.
The Koni shocks were certainly the single biggest improvement to our coach of any mod I have made. With the front tires at 125 PSI cold the Bilsteins were a bit brutal on impact harshness. The Koni damping in this area is definitely tuned much better.

An update on my handling. I have done MANY test drives on highway 13 in front of Entegra in the past 2 years. It has always been 2 hands on the wheel. Yesterday we test drove it after Herb from Spartan, working at Entegra, tweaked the steering on our PDI ..... it was unbelievable that this is the same coach. I finally have a pleasure to drive Entegra. 90% Koni's 10% steering timing adjustment on this final battle with the steering problem. I think I finally have it whipped.

Good to hear Chuck. Was wondering what could be done by the factory Spartan service.
