L Sofa Replacement - What did you replace with

As most of us who have had the L sofa in our coaches know, you will eventually replace the sofa or the coach! We are looking for 2 really comfortable recliners plus a spot for our pup to sit with us.

There have been a number of threads about this but I'd like to know the following from those who have replaced their L:

1. What did you replace it with
2. Where did you get it
3. How do you rate the comfort on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest comfort

Thanks for your help!

That was my first project...in fact,we wanted the dealership in Oregon to do the replacement before we took possession of the coach but they weren't interested and suggested a RV renovation shop do the work. So,off to lazy boy we went....we found a power recline love seat with center console that had the measurements we we're after and ordered it through the lazy boy store at home so i could do the swap in my garage. The old L sofa was brand new but terrible to sit in. We were glad to be rid of it! Lots more comfort and room for two modified end tables as well in the 44b.

Many owners have used Vernon Lambright custom furniture make replacement for the L-coach. Vernon is an Amish guy who does very good work. Quite a few owners on this list have had Lambright theater seats installed to replace their Ls. He is an Amish fellow and has no telephone inside his shop.... I think it is outside on the porch. Usually not hard to get ahold of him. Google the company name and you will find it. His shop is a few miles south of Shipshewana, IN.

Here is what we did, replaced with a perfectly matched leather, powered theaterseating with three piweted recliners custom made to fit the opening by the sofa sho in Lewisville, TX. We loved it and it is very comfortable(about an 8.5).

We too replaced ours with Lambright ... the smaller version - which gave us room for a nice cabinet. We have a blow up bed that fits fine if we have a "guest" join us. Comfort level is 9+.

I am sorry we don't have a photo and coach is in Atlanta. We bought a couch from Lambright as others have mentioned. Working with Vernon was a delight.

As you can see from our signature, we have a Y (FWIW our favorite plan so far) and the issues with the subwoofer are well known - no where to put it. Well the couch is about 14" shorter than the L and so Vernon has an end table that fits perfectly but we asked him to custom make it. He was puzzled about what a subwoofer was but he designed the table to have the drawers to be about 10" shorter than the top and the SW fits perfectly behind it. We use the plug for the old air mattress so it isn't visible.

The couch is terrific, Cheryl can lie full length on it for naps. I wasn't sure we needed it but it is fantastic as well as amazingly comfortable. I was a fan of the passenger seat turned around but am now fully converted.

I wish I could tell you the model etc. but everything is in writing - no emails or such - and thus the data is all at the coach.

ID:	234244. That is Vernon adjusting my theater seating installation. They are very hands on! Can’t beat the quality or comfort! Installed in September 2017 at their shop in Topeka, iN.

That looks a lot like our sofa except ours is "Paprika" which I always thought was a spice but Cheryl has assured me is also a color.

We order our "B" with the Factory Theater Seating, because of the Lambright sofas many were installing. Very pleased with the choice. The arm rest does not fold up on the factory, so I would give the Lambright the upper hand. However, I can still watch the first 15 minutes of any show. (quote from TXBart and he was right).

Lambright for us as well. Love it, 10+. By far the best improvement we've made to our coach in our 4-years. We chose to position the new seating all the way toward the kitchen to leave room for an 18-bottle wine fridge as end table.

Thank you everyone for your input. We are in touch with BradandHall and will be making a visit there in a few weeks. Looking forward to finally having some comfortable seating in our coach!

Steve (sweetandsour), we are leaning toward the recliner setup that you had put in from Lambright. Does the increased height from the slide sitting about 2 inches higher than the floor create any big issues for you?

Thanks,
