The back of the small mirror has a plastic snap ring that has click type catches at 12,3,6 and 9. On advice of Ramco parts I manually tilted the top of small mirror back enough to get both hands in the gap, then pushed down firmly. Probably should have worn gloves in case of breakage. Once I could feel mirror “give” downward I gently pulled out on the whole mirror from top and it snapped right out. I knew that mirror with new camera was only $34 more than camera alone so was not concerned if it happened to break.
It was very similar to my F150 right mirror which was broken in a fight with my garage door frame, there is an internal ring in the mirror housing that is on a pivot for adjustment. That ring snaps into one glued to back of mirror
I tried to add a photo of mirror back but cannot figure out how. PM me your email and I will send you the photo. I had to start a whole new thread to post the pics above rather than reply to the original thread discussing cameras/ mirrors.
