Leveling Blocks or Not
We are very close to turning in the 2014 Phaeton 40QBH for a 2018 Anthem 44A that is to be delivered to NIRVC shortly. We have been carrying a big heavy load of wooden leveling blocks over the years. They haven't been used often but when you need them... I am trying to lighten or eliminate this load if practical. Also, I don't believe I have ever seen a tag axle raised up on blocks which also begs the question of how to easily do it when necessary. My gut feeling is that you need to have something on hand. What do most of you carry for this purpose? Thanks

I carry some 4 plastic blocks that are about 1 foot square then if I get to a place that is going to be hard to level out I use the cheap plastic stackable blocks from camping world. Because of the weight of the coach the get smashed the first few times but hey have worked well

It's been told that it is good to have a set of these flat plastic or rubber
Squares in the coach in the event your on soft dirt or mud etc..
Then your jacks have a base to drop on to in these conditions.
As far as actually needing these things to get level shouldn't be necessary in most cases...

I have found many instances where I need either 1 or 2 blocks for the front or rear jacks, or 1-2 blocks for under the front tires to keep weight on them and not have them free floating in mid air.

I also have the plastic ones, not used yet and carry 4 2x6s about a foot long if blocks are needed which is rare.

I carry pieces of "mud flap" and some 12 x 12 plywood sandwiches to spread out the weight when on soft ground.

I made my own out of 2 pieces of 1" exterior plywood. Since water tends to ruin them fairly quickly I purchased a cheap rubber (ground up tires I think) door mat and cut it to fit the blocks. Used contact cement or shoe goo to adhere them to the wood. These have been working for me for awhile, not that need them very often.

I carry four 'Hoss' pads (haven't used since buying coach new in 2014[emoji16]), but just in case for the four jack pads.

We camp in all kinds of unusual places so I have 2 full sets of the double side plastic blocks plus a number of plywood leveling blocks.
At times, I've used every single trick to get level.
Regarding the tag, just ignore it. Level your coach exactly like you did your Phaeton and you'll be fine. At least that has worked for me so far.
If the rear is uphill, grab the awning hook tool and head to the rear rapidly after starting to level. Use the tool to pull the mud flap towards the rear as the suspension dumps.

On a related topic, someone on here suggested using horse stall mats cut into squares as cheaper leveling blocks. I bought a 4x6 sheet at tractor supply for $40 and cut them into 12x12 squares and they've worked out great!

Thanks for the replys. I do have a set of hosspads that I use for the jacks. I was looking at the CAMCO Fasten heavy duty plastic blocks. Just was not sure if they would hold up on a heavy coach. I see some also use plastic blocks so worth a try. At any rate a minor problem. Just got word the Anthem arrived at the dealer yesterday. Officially excited now!

I carry six - 2x6x18 and two - 2x6x12.
I have only needed the whole set once in S. GA, when the forecast was for a gully washer and I was in grass spot.
I put two of the 18" pieces side by side with a 12" piece centered on top of them under the rear jacks.
Then put the other two 18" pieces under the front jacks.
By the time we left, all six of the 18" pieces where buried and had to be pried up after we drove out of the lot.
