Question. Should there be another function after 3 under Arrival that would say 'dump air'? This whole process will take some learning, and as Chuck said, a cheat sheet is required. Hopefully someone can straighten me out on this.

Tom, The air dump is automatic with the Equalizers. Just one button and it does it all. That and the large feet (pads) are what is so nice about the Equalizers

Terry, you have to WAIT for coach to air up after steps 2 and 3 on your departure list, before proceeding further. So I suggest the following:
Departure:
1. Retract front night shade (this one made me look silly once)
2. Start engine,
3. Wait for air up.
4. Retract leveling jacks
5. Wait for air up.
6. Retract slides[/QUOTE]

After jack retraction, insure that the suspension is inflated before slides in. We had the air dump solenoid fail to close and consequently the bags did not inflate even though our pressures were up. Recycled by pushing "All Retract" and all was well. Interesting ride with no suspension.

The reason this procedure is so important is that the Entegra clearances and tolerances are so close and small it is critical to follow the procedure exactly. If you compare the Entegra slides when it is in you will see they are flush( most others have a flange on the outside covering a much bigger gap between the slide and the sidewall).

Good point on airing up first. If my TS as sat for a long time, or it is cold outside the dump valve is starting to stick more frequently. Hitting "all retract" and all is well again as you mentioned.

Not on mine. I start the engine, jack up the idle with the cruise control, hit the retract button.

I can see that. Take away my first wait step. But don' t you then have to wait after the jacks come up for the air to come up before retracting the slides?

I guess mine airs up pretty fast because by the time the jacks are up and I do a few other little things the relief pops and we're up. Then I pull in the slides.

I guess I error on the side of safety...I don't want anything to even suggest that the tires might get into a fender...so I start up and air up until I hear the pop off. Then when the jacks come up and the coach first settles on the bags, I know it will not bottom out. I let it air back up to the pop off....then I pull the slides in. Takes about 1 minute longer, but who is in a hurry

That's what I do also, Dave. As you say, err on the side of caution, what's the rush. But Terry's method of raising the jacks right after startup is probably okay, unless your wheels aren't straight, in which case you might have trouble regardless of your procedure. I think the more important thing is to hear the air pop off before you pull the slides.

Entegra says if you don't let it achieve ride height before you raise the jacks it may not achieve ride height. Said they have had lots of claims for rough ride due to people raising their jacks too soon and damaging the air bags.
If you need to be in a hurry you shouldn't be in an RV. JMHO. :-)

Never, ever park with your wheels anything but straight unless you don't like the shape of your front fenders.
