Loose Floor Tile

I had a floor tile which cane loose in my master bath. The shower pan partially covers one corner of the tile. After some research, I found an adhesive called “Fix A Floor” (Home Depot $10) and decide to try it.

You drill 4 or 5 holes in the grout line between the tiles. Take a caulk gun and inject the adhesive into the holes. The adhesive comes in a liquid state and it will spread out under the loose tile. Place a 5 gallon bucket of water on the tile and let it cure for 24 hours. Mix up a little grout and fill the drill holes. Go to youtube and there are a couple video demonstrations

So far I am very pleased, only time will tell if the repair will last. Very easy to do and a lot easier than removing the tile and cleaning adhesive/mastic out and resetting the tile.

Hope this helps someone.

Herb

GOOD tip Herb, I would try that in a minute for just a loose tile. You can break something that is already broken.

I have a tile on the step going into the master bathroom. While at the "Home Coming", I asked how to fix it. They said to use silicone under the tile and that it would stay.
