Perfect

May need to foam those holes in the front lest there be any air intrusion.

Before and After.

The first photo is yesterday's foam on exposed areas of the outside steps and lower step well. This area is the outside floor of the step well.

The second photo is all of the lower exposed foam trimmed and painted. I wanted to eliminate any change of wind turbulence around the foam and make it as aerodynamic as possible. Hopefully this will have eliminated all wind noises

Yeah, I guess Obsessive Compulsive Disorder carries over from the Air Force mechanic days....everything was going to be inspected, and it had better pass!

Just got the parts in for tomorrows project.......to be continued

I am pleased to report the additional foaming did eliminate 100% of the road and wind noise coming from the step well. I just brought the MH home from storage and was able to run it at 65 MPH......nice and quiet now.

Acetone disolves the foam very well.

Noises banished

Thanks to Chuck and others I used the bag over head and spray foam in the cracks in my step well and I'm happy to report the howling and clacking noises gone from the front of my Anthem. Using Chucks photos I masked the step well off and when I pushed the spray foam plastic straw applicator in the crack at the top of the stairs I was suprised at how much daylight I could see. Evidently there is a 1/2 to 3/4in gap that is at the joint between the RV floor and the step well. I applied most of the foam from the inside but when I crawled underneath I saw how much foam oozed around the top of the stairwell. Then I applied foam using a Chucks long tubing method to the outside cracks at the top of the stairwell. I just drove about 400 miles and I'm back to " the quietest driving RV on the market" again.

P.S. Recommend those cloth shopping bags they give away at some stores.

Really glad to hear it work for you too Dave. We just drove ours up to Tampa and totally quiet now. What a difference.
You looked way cooler than I did.
