Magna Shade effectiveness

We planned to leave Boise Monday morning but our son had a set back so we decided to stay a little longer. I took our Magna Shade off before we decided to stay and didn't bother putting it back on yesterday.

It's 91 right now, our coach is facing WNW, inside temp was 78. I just now out the Magna Shade back on and by the time I got back in the coach we could tell the difference in the efficiency of the ACs!

I ordered the side shades yesterday. Not cheap but well worth the $ if you camp in the sun!

Sure sorry to hear about you son, sure hope everything is okay and only temporary!

I couldn't agree more about the front side windows. I have a different brand, but the side windows are also a BIG plus for heat control no matter what brand are used.

I am wanting to get some side shades to go with my front windshield Magna Shade on my Aspire. I know how effective it can be.

Question..... How does it look with the exterior magnets showing on the side windows?

The front magnets don't show much, I can't imagine the side magnets show any more.

Hardly noticeable - black magnets on the black window. Worth the expense.

Vance & Robin,

Will continue to keep your son and both of you in my prayers. Also, thank you for being a continuing great source of information. With the information provided by you and the rest of the forum, I should be the best prepared "newbie" ever when I finally get to pull the trigger on a coach!

God bless and safe travels.

We went with the crowd and ordered a MagneShade. Wow. It is attractive yet cuts down the heat a lot. On all but the most intense days we can keep the front zone 75f or lower. We also like it because it gives a measure of privacy inside the coach with he ability to see outside.

The side window outside magnets install on the black portion of the glass with one on the bottom corner on the drivers side that stands about an inch off the glass since that slider is inset. I do not find the appearance of the installed magnets offensive but it is all personal preference.

My shades arrived today. Had to play and put the front one up right away. Will let the sun heat it up before making it permanent. I can see how easy it will be to put up. Thanks for all the help.

After 72 hours, I got to install my side shades. With all 3 on, wow, what a difference it makes. Love these things.

Don't be surprised if you draw an audience and some questions when you are putting them up after pulling in to a new campground. We usually do.
