Magnum not going to charge when generator on

Hi folks, last night we did a Wal-Mart dry camp, first boon docking since Summerfest in Big Sky, where everything worked fine.

I had the gender on auto, and it started on queue, however the magnums never switched over to charge.

I did a soft re-set on the inverters, but still nothing.

I started the coach this morning and the Cummins is charging the batteries fine. Still dark so can't check any charge from the solar panels yet.

Any ideas?

Check the inverter breakers in the breaker panel over the driver's head. Then check the breaker on the generator itself. You'll have to open the genny slide/cabinet and turn the breakers on the generator itself off and back on. Then go into the storage bays and check the switches/lights on the magnum.

Check the progress after each one of these. I'm guessing it's the generator breaker (fairly common).

Are you sure you had *any* AC power from the genny? Check the breaker on the top of the genny itself, that one got me a couple times as it is easy to accidentally trip.

If the above solutions do not work, then check the connections in your auto transfer switch. I had a similar situation and one of the lugs in the switch had vibrated loose and the generator wire was not connected. Everything worked while plugged in, but only half of the rig would work with generator running. 1 inverter would show charging, but the other would not while on generator...
