I had this same issue and with help from others on this forum, I was able to resolve the issue. Get on a tall ladder and see if the center roller is on top of the awning tube. If it is, you can move the slide in about 6 inches to take the pressure off the fabric. Then force the tube up and over the center roller. I used a pry bar and got mine half way into place and then moved the slide. This snapped it back into place.
I think mine got caught in a gust of wind causing the problem
