I think I like it better that what the matrix is supposed to do, especially not that it's working right. The only thing I need it to do is put the front sat box on the ext TV, it does that fine.

I didn't read everyones responses but
let me tell you about similar problem and its fix

first when you go to source on Main TV when this happens
does it show no power to the Matrix ?

well my did i found out the Televator as it goes up and down it unplugged
the HDMI to Cat 5 convertor power supply to 110V and i got nothing to the TV
seem wiring was improperly run and sometimes TV going up and down it snags on something.

I found out it unpluged this adapter power 110V to the TV set HDMI input
i have to get on a ladder and remove the screen and with the TV
partially down reach in from the outside and plug the 110 supply to this
adapter back in i finally at Q put and extention cord on it so it won't happen again

all is well now, Not saying this is your problem but worth checking to make sure
all the cords are firmly in place.
