My latest modification after matress recall

Was thinking about the addition of the halon system to my engine compartment.

Now I think I will forgo that location and put it under the bed

I put a fire suppression system in my engine compartment - that IS under my bed. Makes me sleep better at night.

This same mattress must be used in S&B application. Are they recalled as well?
Or, is this recall directed by NHSTA because mattress is used in a RV?
Replacement is a sleep number not a Temperpedic?
We really like the Temperpedic.

And that hostility toward regulation and safety testing is something that we all feel, until the 5th RVer who dies from toxic smoke inhalation and the fourth lawsuit is successful against a coach manufacturer, and then we all forget that we dislike regulation and are screaming "Someone should have told us....."

I like my sophisticated air mattress better now.... "Classics Rule!"

We have a 2017 Anthem on order for an April delivery date. I am trying to find out what mattress will come with our coach. I will let everyone know what I find out.

It's been at least 12 years with the Norcold's catching fire and where has that gone? They are still making and selling the same refrigerators after loosing a class action law suit that nobody has seen a dime from. So much for regulation protection. There is a product that really needs to be removed from the market. I have never heard of a bed catching fire by itself.

However Sleep Number pumps have caught fire. How safe are they? I still don't need a regulatory agency to tell me if it plugs in it can be dangerous. http://www.saferproducts.gov/ViewIncident/1218190

I'll keep my Tempurpedic. It's the best that we've ever slept on. As to the fire potential, I'm not too worried and just chalk it up to another one of those rules and laws that over-regulate things by technicalities. By the time that mattress gets hot enough to do anything, the rest of the coach will be burning so bad that it won't matter so I see no practical downside to it.

I'm pretty sure yours will be a sleep number since the letter had a build cutoff date of August 2016.

We are hoping for the Tempurpedic and hope to be given a choice. No harm in asking!

Have not heard back from our salesman but the Entegra website now lists Select Comfort Sleep Number mattress as standard for the 2017 Anthem
