Maxxfan and Vegatouch

I had a defective Maxxfan Deluxe in my 1/2 Bath replaced on my 2019 Anthem by NIRVC (Atlanta). The original fan was defective or would not work upon delivery.

The newly installed vent fan worked fine(4 days) until I recently updated my Vegatouch to the latest software 1.1.44. Then that fan would not work. The other two worked fine.

I called Vegatouch and after talking to an engineer and trouble shooting he believed that the newly installed fan had an improper dip switch setting. He did not know where Entegra had them installed but he suggested that I call Entegra.

I called Entegra and Airexcell to learn that they were not sure if there were dip switches on the new fans. I reviewed the installation document on the fan to learn that they do have dip switches which help identify which fan is where to the Vegatouch. Airexcell instructed me on how to access the control board. Four screws and remove up/down knob. I changed the dip switch settings and rebooted the system. It was on my second switch setting it worked.

I could not find anything on the forum documenting this situation. I hope this helps someone else in the future.

Great info Gary, thanks for sharing. I am keeping tabs on all these "issues" as I prepare to pick up our '19 Anthem 44A in a few weeks.

Gary thanks for the update on the updates. I still have 1.1.39 installed and will leave well enough alone. I saw that 1.44 was out this morning from 1.43 a few days ago. There must still be problems if they are releasing buggy updates every few days.
