Will overnight in lot tonight, but hotel after that so they can start early and finish late each day. Will post about the experience.
Any of you who have recently been there have any advice? Mike says roads are clear today and he used to live near us in Texas so he knows this is not our favorite weather!

How is that KOA in Terre Haute? We are looking at stopping there in late April on our way to the mother ship....

Drive in to Middlebury was easy, roads were clear. About 50 miles out the snow was quite prevalent in the fields. By the time we got to Elkhart, there was lots of deep snow in fields and along the road. Roads are really well maintained. Some side streets and parking lots are another story.

Pretty empty this time of year, looked like a few fulltimers, mostly 5ers. We were in soace 3 very near exit. A bit short for 45ft + toad, but I did not unhook. Place is well run it appears, clean, good signage. Looked like turns to get to spot could be tight if place was pretty full.

Biggest issue is getting there. Forget your GPS directions as the whole freeway interchange has been rebuilt. We took correc5 exit but there is an A and B now with cloverleaf. You must go SOUTH when you exit, which is first option you come to. Then you will see a KOA sign to takenext exit, proceed through the roundabout (gps figured out where we were and was correct after that) to the next roundabout to head back north on side street. You will come to a 4 way stop and see a sign that says NO OUTLET. Of course with a toad that caused momentary worry, but below that sign on same pole was a TINY KOA straight ahead sign.
We proceded and around the curve pat highway maintenance facilty was a nice, clean KOA!

We stayed at the Terre Haute KOA, Oct 2017. Site 41, premium patio, pull-through FHU (we did not unhook to enter or exit site ..w caveat below . ) At our 1 nite stay koa was not very full, and definitely agree w David..if full, approach & departure to site/s seemed a bit tight for 45' & Toad. Maybe okay if you plan to unhook?

Would add this caveat, at least site 41, new concrete patio, pad, and approach apron on this pull-through, but concrete (in Oct.) was all about 4" + above ground level.. and enter & exit apron needed a spotter to keep toad from falling off edge of concrete apron/s..into what was standing water, leaves, softer looking ground.

There is a cafe, we tried it, but can't recommend

Safe Travels to All
