My fireplace won’t turn on

We use the fireplace pretty much every night for ambiance and last night it wouldn’t go on (fake fire)

Checked breaker over drivers seat. Was on, turned off then back on....no change

Remote batteries checked. Ok

Switched on fireplace itself won’t turn it on

Any ideas?

Possibly unplugged? (if you have been working on the plugs and TV wires?)

Thank God!! It’s like 100 degrees out!

But if you insist, like Mark said, check to see if it is still plugged in. Plug is sometimes underneath in the storage compartment.

No sir, we get to enjoy Breckenridge for another week or so, then back to the heat.

Ugh!

We had to have ours replaced at Middlebury. They spent a fair bit of time trying to repair it, but decided to replace it. That was after about 1 1/2 years of use.

After 3 years of very light usage ours died and was replaced at Entegra in April. The fireplace was $407 and labor was 1 hour at $120.

I found that the fireplace on the 2018 Anthem is far less realistic than the one on the 2015 Aspire. So much so that I never use the 'fire' aspect of it. It really is unrealistic and unattractive. Given that the heat component can be satisfied by a much smaller portable heater, I plan on removing the fireplace when I rebuild that cabinet. I can get a lot of new storage.

Sounds like they may have switched brands. My 13 classic has the Dimplex unit, and the fire appearance is fairly good - not sure what the newer rigs have.

My sister had a different brand MH and fireplace, and the fire appearance is not that great.

Check that it is plugged in. Check that the plug has power to it. Check for a tripped gfi that may be on the same circuit. Check inside the plug itself for poorly installed wires that may not be making contact. The plugs have connections that just push in and cut the insulation on the wires.

Gary, I was thinking the same thing - anyone whose fireplace isn't working, come on out to Arizona!

Even Flagstaff (elevation 7000+) will be plenty comfortable with no heat. Phoenix metro area where we live - don't even ask.

The fireplace is no longer made by Dimplex and is now made by the same people that make the induction cooktop (Furion ??) and you are right, it is less realistic... still OK on a cold night, but not as nice as the Dimplex.

(However, my DIMPLEX fireplace actually caught fire) and obviously needed to be replaced. Thankfully, it simply burned itself up (circuit boards) rather than burning the coach down). ..
