New 2020 Anthem for Christmas!

Bought my wife a new 2020 Anthem 44B for Christmas because we decided to go back full time RVing. Why not roll full time on shiny new wheels!
NIRVC gave us a great price and a great value for our 2015 Anthem. They are doing great deals to close before year end.
The coach is on its way to NIRVC Atlanta from Middlebury now and we will pick it up between Christmas and New Year.
We will install RetroBands on the steers and add a second tray in basement. What else should we consider while at NIRVC?
Extended warranty?
Ceramic coating?
Forward looking camera recorder - or does the factory system already record?
We will need to move the HydraLift over to the new coach too — anybody had it done at NIRVC or elsewhere?
Excited and thanks for the help.

The stock on-board camera system on the coach does not record.

I find a Garmin DashCam with additional SD memory card to be an absolute necessary addition. I have mine running any time I am moving down the road. My dashcam will record continuously for a couple of days before it rolls over. Also, get one that has a "crash detector" which automatically stores the event, and also 15 or more seconds before the accident into memory that cannot be over-written.

Garmin is a great company and makes a great product with real dependable factory support.

Most of us forget the warranty and stick the same amount of money into a savings or problem account. Remember, you have 2 years warranty from Entegra, 2 years from Spartan, and 5 years from Cummins, so you have a lot of warranty already built in.

The extended warranty is a personal decision based upon your ability to take care of of minor issues, the very high cost of RV tech labor, the insane complexity of new coaches and your comfort level with the risk exposure. The coverage is insurance and polocies vary greatly in their coverage. The NIRVC is provided by the energy giant Warrentech and is a very good policy. I had never bought an extended warranty until I passed 70. I no longer do any repairs on my coach(now am74) so I started buying them on my coach. I KNOW the company makes money but so far I am ahead of the game and I will likely not be on my new 2020 but I am very comfortable knowing I have it and it will be taken care of even if I am not around anymore. For me, it was a very good and easy choice. Everyone has to make that decision for themselves. JMHO

Congrats on the new coach! ...and Merry Christmas!

We are picking up our new 2020 Anthem 44W, in Atlanta on the 27th. Maybe we see you there...

Congratulations. I also found NIRVC great to deal with and their year end close out emails I have received seems like a perfect time to move forward.

Strange .... Although I bought my 19 from NIRVC, I have been getting no year-end sales on '20s, although there is a snow ball's chance in Hell that I will be buying another coach anytime soon (ever?) .... Wonder if Brett, Todd, and Angie and the crew are trying to tell me something.

Then again, I get an email every day from Motor Home Specialists about their year-end dump of coaches.... Once, but never again...

Merry Christmas everyone.

Gary, I think the close out prices are on the 2019s. At least the ones I’ve gotten were. I did ask if I could use the $7000 certificate retroactively on my 2020, I think they’re still laughing.

I vote for ceramic coating and an RO water filtration system for drinking water. There are also coatings for the shower doors which help keep them clean

sounds like a very merry xmas ... fun stuff..

I also say a protective product on the coach is something I would do right away.

I have not ventured into the ceramic world yet ..

I personally hit my coach with the wolfgang paint sealant usually every 4 months.. I have tried other products but seem to overall get the best result from wolfgang products. i did just finish doing my porche 911 with wolfgang fuzion wax... I clay mitted it.. wolfgang swirl remover..wolfgang paint prep spay and wow.. its like a mirror.. doing this process to a 45 motorhome although is something I still have not yet stepped up too.. the paint sealant
is a good safe alternative that fairly reasonable to do on your own.. I get a deep high shine and the protectant benefits I feel good about..

a water softner is another must.. I use a large "on the go"portable one that works fine for my personal use..

definatley skip the the extra warranty ... you got 2 year full coverage from entegra.. 3 year spartan... 5 year cummins.. you are more than covered ..

I also would not bother with any satelite set up personally... I have a at&t mobley which is like my very own
private wifi.. I stream Netflix, amazon ect... all the movies you can think of with lots of other viewing choices.

the direct tv I have is useless and I never even bother to dial it up.. there basic plan is still exspensive and mostly info mercial garbage...

all just my 2 cents..

good luck...

Thanks all for the advice.
We will definitely add the RetroBands on the steers, DashCam, auto-regen water softener/DI rinse/pressure washer system and some polished stainless bling from Summit on the exterior steps, radiator and wheel wells. Summit will also measure the interior steps while we are at Tampa show because I want to do those treads and risers all in one piece and the stairwell sides all in polished stainless too.
We will pass on the extended warranty and 2nd basement tray for now.
Entegra wants $2000 for a black tray but we can get the same tray in gray for about $650 online. We will see how storage goes without the tray for awhile and add it later if needed.
I don’t like the idea of two different color trays but would consider trading my black tray for somebody’s gray tray if we do the second tray. The plan would be to buy two gray trays delivered to same place and help each other remove one black tray and reinstall in other coach and install two gray trays in my coach.
