Our experience was quite the opposite...expected 1st week in Jan and finally delivered to Orlando on 11 Dec.
Having seen the process at the factory, and not defending, I know they run a final QC inspection of fit, finish, and functionality. I don't think they send them on with a known problem, so if they catch something at the back end of the build process, particularly painting (where they have to send them back to Precision), there are going to be some late deliveries.
When you plan on a date, and there is a delay, it surely is disruptive. That said, you don't want a delivery that has some major issue that you don't find out about until you sign the papers. For sure. IMHO, I'd also rather the fixes occur at the factory, prior to release, rather than ot a dealership where much of the focus is on delivery and sale.
