All good info and thanks for all the help folks. Also discovered the "motion detector" last night!! Found the little "door lock" buttons last night over the master bed, thought "hmmmm, ok, this must be good", so I pushed the lock switch while just tucking in. Wife was still up roaming around, and about two minutes after pushing the switch, all hell broke loose, sirens going off, wife losing her mind running yelling, me jumping out of bed in my scivvies, panic sets in, you get the picture!!!
It took us a few minutes to realize it was us making all the noise, and to figure out locking the door with the "magic button" must have eneabled a motion alarm in the bus!!! Won't do that again! I'm sure our cG neighbors didn't appreciate the fun and noise either! Mortified! Hoo boy, we're having fun!

Unless there has been a change it is not a motion sensor. There is an alarm if the door is opened and/or a glass break sensor. The sensor has adjustment knob. When on high sensitivity, it can go off for almost any noise.

mymyst, I learned something about the alarm system, thank you. I will be sure to read that as the DW is a big into night wondering. Thanks for the heads up.

Perhaps this still isn't clear. The jacks DONOT move sideways! It is the CHASSIS that is moving forward or scooting as the air is dumped. Totally a suspension geometry thing and has nothing to do with the jacks. The jacks are firmly bolted to the frame, so if they were to move, the mounting bolts are loose.
As a way to test this, dump your air bags and watch for the scoot, BEFORE doing any jack lowering. Once the bags are on their stops, manually lower the jacks and you'll see there is no scooting.

Have followed this discussion closely, and I agree with slabman. I have felt a slight movement when putting jacks down on somewhat unlevel gravel sites. Could feel the coach move a little (never experienced 4-6 inches). But the only time I have felt this was on gravel sites that were not level.

Ok, how does one dump the bags without engaging the auto-leveling sequence? Never tried to do that before?

You are correct where the movement comes from. I used the jacks as a reference point and I should have been more clear. Thanks for the clarification.

[QUOTE=MRUSA14;1977344]Mymyst, your starting battery and sliding jack problems are NOT normal. You should talk to Entegra CS about them. The battery problem could be because you were parked indoors and the rooftop solar panel did not get any sun with which to offset the phantom loads on the batteries. In the future if you park indoors without plugging in, you may ewant to physically disconnet the batteries, but CS can advise you on this.
So, if plugged into 50a main shore power, is anything charging the chassis batts? Other than solar? Should disconnect be off if camped and plugged in for a few days?

If you are plugged in everything is kept charged through the inverter/charger. No need to turn anything off while plugged in while camping. I do not turn anything off while in storage either as I am plugged in.

X2 - It isn't motion - it's noise and can be really set too sensitively. I can assure you that your CG friends will not appreciate it you leave the coach locked and the alarm clock is accidentally set to go off at 7 AM; every day; for an hour since no one is there to turn it off.

Hit the auto level button, as soon as the air dumps, hit the power off button before the jacks start down.

the button over the bed does activate the alarm, and they have several glass break detectors in the coach, one of which is next to the bed. I discovered when slapping the B&C really hard in the night to stop the snoring sets the alarm off every time, I tested it several times too.. so we quit using the button.

The glass break sensitivity is adjustable so just dial it down, hit the button and slap away, no worries!,

It is the Geometry of the bags that causes the movement. I never said the Entegra moved 4-6 inches, it was a Tiffin bus with the Spartan chassis. Unfortunately, on the Entegra the jacks are pretty much touching the ground by the time the air dumps.
They may not all move, but it is an inherent characteristic of the Spartan chassis and has been at least since 2007. Noel
