New coach woes?

We're getting ready to purchase a new coach, and had a delay due to a brake recall. Once that was fixed and we were ready to pick it up, we got a call from the service department that they were going to have to replace the circuit board (which in their words, runs everything) because the wrong circuit board had been installed. We're starting to woder if maybe this is a lemon and we should run the other way! Any thoughts?

They're all lemons. Some more tart than others. The first year in the life of a coach is for repairs. We're in our second year of repairs 😣. Good luck.

Welcome to motorhome ownership! It's a bumpy ride but we'll worth it once the kinks get worked out, or they get the right shocks installed. 🤑

What model of MH? On a Spartan Chassis? I have not heard of a brake recall. A little more information might help us understand if there is really a problem or not.

Dealers are well healed at finding 'excuses' to blame something for their slow work..as we all are at times. It sounds like it's less a real problem with a 'brand new' coach, and more of a screen. The brand new coach was driven many, many miles from the factory to the dealer, so it's highly unlikely there is any real concern. It's already 'broken in' for you!

"More tart...." I like that one. Seriously, they all have teething issues. Probably no more tart than most.

Make/Model/Year

Not aware of any brake recalls - maybe ball joints?
Is the circuit board a Vegatouch thing?

Lots of things to break on a motorhome. Furnaces, A/C,microwave, fridges, slides, air bags, radiators, TVs, shade motors, roof vents.... you get the idea. Your goal should be to get it ironed out before the warranty expires. A lot of the things that went wrong on my coach did not surface until after one year. Glad I had two year coverage.
