Hello there!

I'm new to this page but I do have some questions on Entegra coaches, I hope to finally by a new coach in 2013 and I have been looking at some of the answers posted and they are informative but I guess I have a few more since I'm out west. At this time I have narrowed my decision to two coaches either the Entegra Aspire 42RBQ or the Monaco Diplomat 43DFT what are your experiances with these two coaches? To be truthfull I'm thinking the Entegra coach I have seen them at the shows and they are sure nice inside and out, but I'm open any thoughts??

Welcome grandcanyon,

First, let me first disclose that I'm a very happy Entegra owner.

Even if I weren't an owner of the other model you mentioned, I'd still have the same opinion regarding Monaco. Navistar, (Monaco parent company) just announced a $2.8B (yes billion) loss in Q4 of 2012. I could post other details but suffice it to say that they have announced they are close to bankruptcy. That would steer me away from Monaco. I'm sure many Monaco owners may chime in stating how sound they are, but I wouldn't want to own a coach that may not be supported in the near future. All just my opinion.

I own neither coach right now, but as stated earlier I would be very careful with a Navistar constructed and powered coach. If the engine is the Navistar engine then you would have an issue with the technology that Navistar tried to used with their EGR engines. To say it bombed would be a kind understatement. They have had to switch to Cummins engines going forward.

Hello Riscky!!

Thanks for the information on Monaco I was not aware that they were in trouble. I see that you have an Anthem is the extra $50K for the Anthem really worth it?? I like the Anthem but I can do allot of things with an extra $50K, I plan to travel around the counrty the most I can, as I cannot retire for another 5 years, then I hope to go almost full time in the RV.

That's such a hard question as the answer really depends on your respective needs/wants. We looked long and hard at both the Aspire/Anthem. Our previous RV was...a tent. For us, the all electric coach, IFS, auto bay door locks, electric shades and integrated awnings, larger gen, 315 tires among the other differences pushed us over the edge. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with either coach. I have a close friend that is currently wrestling with choosing between an Anthem or Aspire. It's a really tough decision.

In lieu of asking an Anthem owner, you may be better served to ask the Aspire owners is not having the "Anthem options" something they wished they had or not really an issue.

As for us, we love the coach and the other Entegra owners we've met. I can't say enough GREAT things about Entegra's customer service dept. Tadd, Joyce, Don and the crew have been nothing short of amazing to work with. When we've had issues, they are right there to provide assistance. They are incredibly responsive, helpful and overall we just don't have a negative thing to say.

For us, it was worth the $50k. But again, I'd be very interested in the Aspire owners comments.
