Nice trailer!

We too are taking donations for a matching paint job. ;o)

We have a 20ft car hauler with 5200# axles, 5 ft V-nose with the door in the V, entry door, rear gate and an auto escape door for loading the car.

I like that you can access the bikes without taking the car out. That was a must when we purchased our car hauler too. We car the car, two motorcycles, two bicycles and two kayaks.

The entire inside was sanded, stained and varnished. I'm working on shelves and a cabinet. Here a pic of the V-nose.

I tow 4 down 90% of the time but if I take a car with me I use a trailer built by a young guy name Gary. Montrose Michigan, Just North of Charlotte Mi.

It is all aluminum, with a aluminum hidden floor to store tires, toys, tools etc... The cool thing is the trailer opens up on all four sides, giving you access from any angle. You can also disconnect the trailer and load cars etc... The SuV inside the pictures is what I was towing around and when I picked up the trailer I just put it inside for the ride back south.

Gary builds them to your vehicles, the one I have will fit a sports car all the way up to a pickup truck. Having a four sided opening allows yours truly to get my you know what out easy when I drive a car in.

Trailer is very light.. I wish I had more pics when it is all open. Graphics will go on later this year.

Dusty: Looking at picture number 2 it looks as if there is a bow in the floor or it could be an optical illusion.

Trailer brakes

We haul a 26' trailer most of the time and I had an issue with the trailer brakes engaging whenever the engine brake is engaged. It activates off the brake lights which come on with the engine brake.
I ended up moving the mirror heater switch to the back of the side panel and found a company that makes custom switches to make me a switch that says Trailer Brakes and I ran the main power to the brake box thru it. That way on the interstate going down hills I am not burning the trailer brakes up.
I am still waiting on the switch (ordered last week) and if they come our nice I will pass along the company. I had to pay the $20 for the art work but after it is done the switches will only be $6.75 plus shipping.

Lazydays wired my coach with a relay so that my toad brakes would actuate with only the service brakes and not the engine brake. You should be able to do the same with your trailer brakes.

Sweet. How long is the trailer and what is your overall length? Why the low front end versus V-shaped nose that others have?

I like that hauler Dusty! I like the fact you can back up a trailer if needed vs a towbar and your vehicle arrives clean and undamaged. The other perk is you can bring any vehicle you can think of.

Do you find any trouble parking it somewhere when you arrive at a campground or resort?

Mine is a Freedom Trailer and I ordered mine through Wagon Master Trailers. I took delivery at the factory in Wilacoochie, GA. Order with the 5200# axles. I also added more height, 8 ft instead of the standard 6.5 ft.

That's not a problem, that's a feature and I love it.

If you don't want the brakes to activate, turn off the Jake brake.
