New living room TV

I want to put an internet tv in our 2013 Anthem. The width of the cabinet is 42.5 inches. Most of the models I’ve seen are around 43 3/8’s inches wide. I was wondering what some of you have done that have upgraded. The sizes aren’t very friendly needed for my application. I guess I could notch the cabinet, but that fiber board might not finish out to well.

We did our 2013 Anthem RBQ. Had to use Samsung they were just a bit wider and had to make changes to the original mounting brackets

Took about an hour each to change out

No need to notch anything out. It will lay over the side of the cabinet just 1/2” or so. Looks great Once complete

You can PM me if you want as I will be happy to help

Will it work for you if you make your current tv into a "smart" tv? You can do so by replacing the old disc player with a new one. That is what I did with mine and I now have a "smart" tv simply by installing a better blueray player, and I should mention that they are quite inexpensive. Is this what you are looking for?

We use apple TV plugged into the HDMI to all port. We stream Direct TV Now, Amazon Prime and a bunch more services the apple tv. Plus the remote will even work outside. It is a easier way to achieve a smart TV unless you want a better picture quality

Go to Best Buy and find one that will fit. I did. It happened to be a Sony, but it fit like a glove. Great picture and all the bells and whistles.

Here is a partial picture of how I mounted the new Samsung. I cut 2- 2x 3 and attached the existing tv bracket to them. That brought the tv out far enough to tit in the space

Living room tv

Thanks for the photo. How did you attach the 2x3’s? Curious as to how thick the wood sheet is. I actually thought about an articulating bracket. It would be stored on a little angle but you could adjust the tv over a little away from the wall. Too bad it’s just a little narrow for the 49’s.
