Xite updates

So I am not worried about updates for at least a few years, and by then everything may be different in the world of electronics and we may be navigating by way of a chip implanted in our brains!
I have updated my Xite software in my 2013 Entegra Anthem but have not purchased the new map available. They want $69 for this upgrade. Probably will update at some point but not now. I use both the Xite nav and a RVND 7720 when I am on the road. Both do a good job and both have good points and bad points. I am running both to cross check each other. I so far prefer the 7720 as it seems to keep me out of trouble. I have also installed some custom POI's that I don't have on the Xite.

I am at Entegra this week getting service and they are checking with Riverpark to see if my serial number nav unit can take the 7720 software. The later models can be upgraded. I was told the upgrade was around $250 so I will have to think about that! I probably will upgrade and sell my RVND 7720 just to clear stuff off my dash.
