New Truck, Need AF1 Installed

Finally found a new truck to replace our Jeep. Unfortunately we are several states away from home and was hoping someone could recommend an installer in the SC or North FL area. Thank you!

Mark, try this link.

https://smibrake.com/dealer-locator.php

If you find a dealer close to where you guys are, I'd recommend calling them. When we purchased our 2015 Anthem, I searched for an installer and as it turned out our delivering dealer was listed as an authorized installer. Sadly, they were unaware of it

Hopefully since the acquisition of SMI by DEMCO this has improved.

Hope this helps, Brian

PS, Good looking truck. I'm sure Harley appreciates it.

Thanks Brian. Yes Harley is very thankful to have a back seat.

I think Alliance Coach in Wildwood, FL might be able to do it. We've been very satisfied with their work on our previous Entegra and plan on having them help us maintain this one. It might be a little far south for you but they do have decent hookups and grassy areas for the furkids.

That could definitely work if no one chimes in with personal experience further north! Thank you!

We just had ours done at NIRVC in Atlanta - might be too far north for you, but they are responsive and very good.

Rick reminded me that Alliance has a Georgia location also - in Lake Park, GA. We have not used that location so can't speak from personal experience but would hope that the service would be similar. The FL location started out as one of the two national Monaco facilities. When Monaco went OOB the facility was eventually purchased and reopened as simply a service facility rehiring most of the former employees. They now have added a Thor franchise. Long story to say that a lot of the employees have been there for quite a while and seem to know what they are doing. This maintained our first DP, a Beaver and, once we returned to FL from TX, our first Entegra. They'll be setting the new one up for towing soon.

We would definitely consider NIRVC if we were closer to them!

Linda, thank you for all your help. It’s always good to get some Personal experience on a matter as critical as this. I’ve learned through others that you cannot rely on the dealer locator alone to pick a competent installer!

I’m trying now to get some feedback on Corbin’s Hitch Shop near North Charleston. They’ve been in business forever with little to no negative reviews. If they don’t work out I’ll likely contact Alliance in Wildwood.

Mark

Try “The Hitching Post” in Ocala Florida. They did a excellent job on my Air Force One install.
