Newby or Old Hand
It seems like a goodly number of those who are buying Entegras are new to diesel pusher motorhomes. So a couple of questions for those of you who have recently purchased:
1. Is this your first diesel pusher?
2. What about your Entegra was a pleasant surprise?
3. What about your Entegra was an un-pleasant surprise?

In Order:
1) yes (also our first RV); a dream since looking at the GMCs back in 75 when we married ... hopefully first is our last
2) I don't know that I have an answer here; we researched pretty well...if I had to say, probably the driving ease and comfort as I hadn't driven a big rig before I picked this one up. Fit and finish/comfort have been a real satisfaction, as well.
3) Bumping my head weekly on the driver side slide (I'm 6'2", and I think it is 6 foot). The other would be the organization and delivery of the many "owners manuals", and in particular, having to fumble my way through getting the entertainment system set up.
Bottom line...we're 35 days in and pretty happy with our choice.

Here you go:
1) first DP - had a FRED before, so not new to diesel.
2) biggest surprise was how effortless it is to drive. Our last coach was definitely a two hands on the wheel machine. This one is 3 fingers on left hand easy. Extremely quiet and smooth, too!
3) hard to tell what my biggest negative surprise is. So far all the little things are just annoyances. I guess that with such a fancy coach, I'm surprised there isn't a little elf that jumps out to wash the windshield every time a bug hits the windshield.

Pudgy,
We had a Ford V-10 in a Mirada. We just used regular gas. We did watch the Ethanol content and if we found that it was more than 10% we would switch to a medium grade fuel. We found that our mileage would drop considerably with the ethanol gas.
Ed
Pudy, I think the original question was geared toward Entegra diesels, so you may want to ask your questions in the Class C forum.

Welcome to the Jayco forum. Even though the majority of the discussions here tend to be about Entegras, your questions are welcome. Just start a new thread and ask away. Another option for your immediate question is to call Entegra direct at 800-945-4787

I think asking Entegra about Greyhawk would get him making another call. Even though Jayco "makes" both products, Entegra would probably point them in a different direction.

Jayco Motorized is now under the Entegra Divison
I was just at the Entegra Factory and one half of the factory was Entegra's and the other half were Jayco's C's and Super C Seneca's being built.
So with this said, Chuck Lasley, the Factory Rep for Entegra Coach, South East Divison, would handle any GreyHawk questions.
Tadd Jenkins is the GM for Entegra Coach and Jayco Motorized.
Hope this helps
