Does the Aspire have the elect or the hand crank for raising and lowering? The Anthem definitely has the alarm system. Noel

I think it may depend on what type of satellite dish you have. If you have the Travel'r, you have a warning system. We have the in-motion dish only.
No warning system.

We are talking about TV antenna not satellite.
I talked to the tech here at Lazy Days Tucson that will be installing the Jack antenna on our coach. He sounded very informed on Entegras. I explained what happened and he said that there is an alarm. He also said that the electric Sensar antennas have had some issues. Some of the alarms have been disconnected. He said that when there is an alarm problem some shops just clip the orange wire which disconnects the alarm. But ours hasn't worked since we got it which may be one of the issues with this antenna. Again I just can't believe that they put this type of antenna in this coach. The Winegard Sensars are more expensive that the King Jack antennas. I know they make deals with the venders for discounted packages but this one makes no sense. IMHO

Another coach owner's crankup mechanism was broken so that he could rotate but not raise or lower his batwing antenna. I took two pieces of 1" square aluminum tubing, bolted them together with the same offsets on the ends (about 9" long), drilled holes to match the base mechanism and a new Jack Antenna mounting bracket. 9" was the height I decided on as that put the Jack antenna about 1" above the AC shroud.
Now the owner does not raise or lower the antenna, can rotate for best signal, and receives about 10 more stations than he got on the old batwing antenna.
AND, the total cost was the Jack Antenna head package--$49.95 plus tax.

The hand crank on the Aspire does not have an alarm on the antenna. The electric antenna on the Cornerstone and Anthem do.

Cruiser,
The early 2015 Newmar coaches were equipped with Winegard Sensar IV (batwing with Wingman built in) or the now discontinued motorized Batwing antennas, which did not have the Wingman addition. The motorized Batwing has been replaced on the late 2015 coaches with the Rayzar Automatic dome.
The newer antennas such as the Jack and Rayzar work fine with the digital TV stations. In remote areas still have analog broadcasts which these antennas are not very suitable. These stations will be phased out in a few years.

Not sure what you all are talking about. The Jack antennae on our 2012 Tour brings in a crystal clear HD signal (ota).

"The Jack antennae on our 2012 Tour brings in a crystal clear HD signal (ota)" doesn't tell us anything. Any antenna, even a coat hanger will work fine if you are close enough to the transmitting antenna. It is in fringe areas where the antenna shows its colors. At what transmission distance does your Jack antenna begin to lose a signal?

HD broadcast are digital. Some stations such as Alpena MI still broadcast the old fashioned analog signals. The Jack and Rayzar has not been designed for fringe reception of such stations

Geez. I don't think the issue is HD or Digital. I think the issue was for analog.

Just wanted to report back on the Jack antenna that we replaced our Winegard Sensar with. On the Anthem the mount requires using the existing Winegard mount which places the control panel on the cealing. The old Winegard controls are now nonfunctional. The new panel is white regardless of what the external color is. You can bearly see the Jack antenna above the Girard awnings. We chose black and it blends right in. The reception is excellent here near Pheonix and the HD is good. The best thing, I don't have to remember to lower the antenna. So far, loving it.
