Not all insurance agents are the same!!!

I am shopping for insurance on the new Cornerstone. Check and recheck quotes!!
Called Good Sam's who have had the best rates for me for years. They gave me a quote from Progressive $2,918 with no full replacement coverage, it was no longer available.

Called USAA as referred by a forum member. USAA is another agent for Progressive and was quoted $3,098 with full 5 year replacement for another $180. a year. Unreal what different agencies will quote.

I know other get a 1/2 million $ of insurance in MT for $500. a year, but this is FL rates.

Depending on your situation, the tax advantages of living in Florida can easily offset the increase in insurance.

The post is not regarding location, it's the different quotes from the same company....different agents. Full replacement is still available depending who you get a quote from

I was born and raised in Santa Monica.....enough said

Have you tried going thru a 'broker' and get multiple quotes for same coverage/deductibles/replacement---agreed value etc.?

Called several yesterday including my commercial broke that is also an agent for several companies including Progressive. I am waiting for return calls. I'll give yours a call today.

I was just surprised that Good Sam's also an agent for Progressive along with National General stated full replacement was no longer available on units valued over $300,000. Which I found out is not true.

I picked up Ron Jarvie's info when I was on he Tiffin forum - he was (by far) the most recommended agent on their forum.

When we bought our coach in August, we went with Ron - great knowledge (his agency only writes RVs), competitive pricing (2000/year for excellent coverage), etc.

I'd recommend at least giving him a ring:

Ronald L. Jarvie
Certified Insurance Counselor
Overland Insurance Services
480-994-9584 or 800-677-4027

Thanks,
BG

I do not know about this, but I have been told I would be able to get insurance for a boat (that they already had insured, gave them the vin and all) before I bought it. After I bought it I get a letter saying they are not going to insure the boat.

I am always nervous until I get the policy in hand.

The way Cornerstones have increased in price, I want full replacement coverage, not a fixed dollar amount. Example my Anthem is $70,000 higher today than it was when purchased. If it was totaled, I would be $70,000 out of pocket. I don't mind paying a few dollars more for full replacement coverage for the first 5 years. I am just glad to see full replacement coverage over $300,000. is still available with some companies.

I'll second Ron Jarve. I think our first year with Safeco was $1,650. Went up to $1,750 the second year.

We just move to Farmers though. Slightly more expensive mid $1,800's but packaged with the rest of our Farmer's policies made for an overall better deal.
