You know...those were OSU math instructors, they could have been teaching bad stuff. That was Viet Nam era and the draft boards had to get their quotas

Sorry Dave, I didn't see your tongue firmly implanted in your cheek. I know Robin can be generous in his discounts, but.....

Yep, we of the Vietnam Era did become part of the draft board quotas, didn't we!

Hopefully I can get down to Tampa again this January to see what numbers everyone has to offer and maybe decide what, if anything, we will be doing. The college acceptance letters are coming in now, so maybe we'll know the financial packages by then.

Actually, The dealers hate threads like this...no surprise, but this thread is almost too overt. So guys like robin are probably spinning...of course if I was in sales of coaches, I'd be too.

I'm not sure of the value of this post since it seems like most people struggle to get to a 30% discount from MSRP. In order for RVOne to be consistently offering a discount of 48%..... and still stay in business .....they would need to take their landed cost....add mark-up for business overhead and normal profit....AND then mark-up this price by 100%. IMO this does not seem to be consistent with what others are reporting on this forum. It also seems unlikely that Entegra would be selling to their Dealers at this far below their posted MSRP. Were there any extenuating circumstances for this deal....is there a back story here...? Why encourage people to expect a discount that is unreasonable?

Perhaps Dave would be good enough to provide a bit more information and context for how he has managed to get almost double the discount most everyone else is getting?

Ok, just so we're clear, Dave was kidding!!
As he has stated previously and I agree, the number is 26 to 30%. Get somewhere around there with a dealer you like and do the deal then enjoy! Someone will always say they got a better deal, I think that is all Dave is saying!

As the old saying goes..do not believe everything you read on the internet.
Half of my emails are deleted as there are no facts to back up some of the claims.

Great....now I feel like a complete idiot for being "taken-in" and for missing the winking emoticon. There for a brief moment I also thought my dream coach was within reach if only I could get Dave to share his secret for getting 48% off the MSRP.

There is always the employee discount. Might have to work a little bit for it, but nothing in life is free

I believe that there are a lot of factors that determine the discount.
1. What you are trading in.
2. How much inventory the dealer has.
3. How long has the unit been on the lot.
4. Is it new but the previous year model, close out. I think one can save a lot going this route.
5. Unit bought to the show. They want to eliminate the cost of returning the unit to their lot, especially if they have come a long way.
6. If you bought your previous model from the dealer and are purchasing a new unit from them.
7. Your credit rating helps the dealer make a better decision.
8. I think Cash it king, you can then call the shots.

All in all you have to be strong and be willing to just walk away. Once they got you they hate to loose you.

Some dealers will let you walk if you want to large of a discount because they know someone is going to walk in and pay full price.
