Question Opinions on Entegra Coach

Hi,

I'm curious to hear from any current (or former) Travel Supreme diesel pusher owners about the new Entegra Coach models. Especially if you have spent any significant time investigating the new coaches and/or the factory.

How do the Entegras compare to the old TS build quality?

Are there things that have been "cheapened" in order to cut costs and streamline the company?

Have there been any noticeable or significant improvements?

As a Newmar owner myself, I have always had an affinity for Travel Supremes (due to their similar build quality, etc... although I liked a LOT of what TS did that seemed "better"). So I wonder how much of that is still present in the new Entegra Coach. From the pictures on the website, and from the specs, they seem to still be quite true to TS's original quality and design standards... but with the finances, support, and engineering of Jayco, I wonder if things are better/worse?

Thanks for any thoughts/input!

Saw that nobody had replied yet, so I'll chime in with what little I do know. I'm not an owner (I WISH!), but having walked through one (the Aspire), I was pretty impressed. Would definitely be on my list if I was looking in that price range.

Talked at length with an owner who was raving about it -- especially the really quiet ride (lack of rattles in the coach).

Here's an article that may help give some more info

How do the Entegras compare to the old TS build quality? I am TS owner since 05, i feel the Quality Control at Jayco would be far Superior to TS, the assembly line at TS was what almost kept me from buying TS

Are there things that have been "cheapened" in order to cut costs and streamline the company? Less options to streamline the assembly to keep pricing competitive. possibly less detail some cabinet.

Have there been any noticeable or significant improvements? Again am sure QC will be better, Jayco has to be a well structured company to be where they are at today.

Jayco builds a very good product. IMO

Just purchased a new Entegra. Very nice coach. Looked at Tiffin and Newmar, the Entegra won out.

Jetlag,

Congratulations on your new coach! Out of curiosity, what was it that made you choose the Entegra over either Newmar or Tiffin? Was it floorplan? Or build quality, etc.?

I'd be interested in your analysis.

Thanks!

We are previous owners of an 06 TS 42DL14, bought it used, had it for two years, put 20k miles on it, no issues, and loved it! We now have a 2011 Entegra Cornerstone....WOW!..what a fantastic coach. Quality is still there. We are on our first trip now, it started in TX, in CA now, three weeks later and all is PERFECT! We looked at other coaches, new and used in this price range, but this was it for us. Maybe not as much storage as others but their styling and quality sold us. PM me with your phone # if you like.

@bullheaded,

Thanks for your input! And congratulations on your new coach! The Cornerstone is certainly a beauty... and your paint job does look very nice.

I appreciate the phone # offer... I'm not really in the market (on one hand, I wish I was... but on the other, I still love my Newmar Mountain Aire and have done so many mods that the thought of replicating many of them on a new coach makes me want to take a nap, LOL!).

I really appreciate your reply. Sounds like Jayco may really have a homerun on their hands with Entegra Coach. Which is good for all of us... competition is the best fuel for innovation.

Happy travels! (Oh... and please keep us posted with how you continue to love your Cornerstone. There's no better information than the experiences of an owner!)

I toured the Entegra facility last fall (with Don Brubaker) and have these observations:
  1. The "roll bar" hoop that stabilizes the windshield is interesting and I wouldn't doubt other mfg will pick this up
  2. QC seemed acceptable, at least for me, if I ordered one
  3. Engineering was going over a coach that was finished to catch any design changes they felt would make it a better coach, which is a good sign.
  4. I thought their growth plans were realistic and based on good projections

I wrote an article (with pictures) on my visit for the Traveling Supremes (Traveling Supremes) club and if you send me an email at john at laninga dot com I'll be glad to send you a copy.
