Park recommendations in Durham NC

We are looking for a nice park in the Durham NC area. Anyone have a recommendation? So far we are looking at a couple, but they do not seem to have very good reviews.

tks

We have stayed at Jones Station in Mebane a number of times. It is run by a very nice lady who lost her husband very suddenly about 6 months ago. We are from that area and have family there. As far as we know it is the only park in the area. There is an old (Former) KOA east of Greensboro - emphasis on OLD.

Jones Station RV Park - Mebane, NC - RV Park Reviews

Jones station RV Park

At Jones Station there are a number of pull throughs that are wide open and several back in the woods. Satellite can be an issue (No cable) if you are in one of those sites.

Very friendly staff. Many of the folks are there for longer term stays as they are treated or wait for transplants at Duke or UNC. The biggest issue might be availability.

Those open pull-throughs are plenty long but could be more level - we just positioned the coach in the most level part.

If you find something else - let us know.

If Raleigh is an option, the NC State Fairgrounds has an RV park. Nothing special but in a good and safe location. Not good if the State fair is in town, but plenty of sites when the fair is gone.

Thanks everyone for your comments

We are booked into Rolling View Campground. This is a State Park, 30A & Water. Not sure what to expect, but will comment for the benefit of others when we get settled there. Not a lot of choices in Durham, there is something going on at the State Fairgrounds & Springhills this weekend for Halloween.
