Passenger Foot Rest Not Retracting

So after a long day and a glass of wine I decided to call it a night. I was sitting in the passenger seat with the foot rest out. I pushed the button and the right side started to come down but the left side moved approximately half and inch and locked up. Nothing is obstructing the operation.
Looks like the corkscrew on the left side is jamming right after it starts to move through the threads.
I also see a cable that runs through a motor to both sides. The left looks slightly bound up. I only say that as the left side is slightly twisted.
Has anyone experienced this issue. If so how did you get the foot rest down and what caused yours to lock up.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry Jim...... I can't help on this one. That is one problem that I have not had yet

If you have a DVM along with you, I would start by checking the voltages on the motor drive. That should tell you if your problem is only mechanical or electrical. If it is a screw drive, I would think that you should be able to remove the motor drive and again see if there is binding, (freeze in the motor, or a jam in the screw mechanism).

Also, I think your seat is a Villa (or is it Flex-Steel), and with my Dynasty, I needed to talk to Villa several times, and while they were not good at returning phone calls, if I could get to the guy that I needed to talk to, they were good about running me through the diagnosis of some problems. A path through the OEM might be faster and better than through Entegra CS.

I feel for you (my coach is still in the shop) !!

Gary, I appreciate your input. We drove the coach down to a nearby town called Tracy. RV repair shop called Hemmingsen were able to mechanically move the corkscrew down on the problem side. Entegra had me give them a try in an effort to at least allow us to drive the Coach without the foot rest fully extended.
The corkscrew would not budge on its own or electrically so the tech used a pair of pliers and manually moved it into the down position.
We are back in our spot now and DW is making breakfast!!! The seats are Flexsteel.
Entegra is looking for a shop in the direction we will be heading so we can finish the job.
