PI EMS 50 going out

I have had the hardwired unit in my coach since it was new. It was installed by first owner. Over the last few trips going back to August I noticed that when first plugging into shore power it would start flashing 8s on all 3 leds and nothing would happen. I usually got it your work by recycling the breaker a few times but last night after getting back from service it refused to work until I started the gen and cycled the breaker. So I called PI andDonald told me it needed a new logic board. Since I'm not the original owner it's going to cost me $90 plus shipping. So just thought I'd pass it on.

Call back and ask for a supervisor....and plead your case again.

PI is a great company, has very good customer service/tech service and willing to help.

But the 'Lifetime Warranty' is for original owner

Our Lifetime Warranty is exclusive to PII and in lieu of all other warranties, obligations or liabilities implied by PII. This is a non-transferable Lifetime Warranty and is exclusive to the original owner and covers those products purchased from an authorized dealer, retailer, or seller.


$90 plus shipping is very reasonable for new logic board

I was fortunate, I just replaced my board after 10 years and on the second MH. I am the original owner and they didn't even question it much.
