So far looks like Weber (which one), Aussie or Cuisinart. I considered Coleman until I read you can't cook with the lid closed, we like grilled pizza so that takes it out of contention.

What do you carry for a grill? We don't plan on grilling for more than 2 with an occasional addition of a grandkid or 2.

You can cook with the lid closed ... what you read is you can't cook BIG things (like a whole chicken) with the lid closed. It's not a tall lid like the Weber.

Had a Coleman Roadtrip for years ... worked fine but is rather heavy. Recently switched to an O-Grill .... works fine for 2 people ... stores upright like a suitcase. Legs are tall enough that it's safe to use on a plastic/resin table without melting it.

We have the Green Egg "Minimax" which knocks pizza out of the park and gets over 700 degrees for steaks and of course smokes low and slow or higher for poultry! Only drawback is it is 80lbs but manageable! travels in a milk crate!

I have a solaire Infared gas grill ( gets very hot very fast, great gas grill but $$) I also have a treager ptg (great smoker ok for grilling ) I also have a Webber smokie joe charcoal grill ( this is the cheapest grill and also the one I use most) I like cooking so I bring all three on all trips. If I had tho chose one it would be the smokie joe, mine is 4 years old , I buy a $11 grill grate for it every 2 years .

Get the Weber Baby Q-1000/1200 Propane Grill. Add the Griddle Grate for breakfast cooking. Very compact, push-button start, plenty of heat, easy to clean!

I've had many different grills in rvs over the years - had a Weber Baby Q a few years ago then tried some others after giving it away - now back to a Weber Q1200 with an 11-lb bottle and convinced its the best compromise for me. I use a set of GrillGrates on top of the Weber grates. I have a Green Mountain Grills Dave Crockett pellet grill that I love when we're gonna be stationary for awhile, but it and the pellet bags are just too much for me when traveling.

Weber Baby Q smaller one. Never blows out, cooks without burning. I fuel it through the main propane system.

Just curious with how hot the green egg gets how close to coach do you cook? Could you attach it to the slide out tray?

We also use the Weber Baby Q 100 and love it. It can handle enough to easily feed 4.

I removed the portable refrigerator on slide out tray and installed a Traeger PTG
pellet grill. When I want to use it, I open the basement door and slide out BBQ.
It ignites by switching an electric switch. The pellet fire is non direct heat and makes for a fabulous smoke flavor. Also almost impossible to burn anything
(including chicken) because of indirect heat. Pizza is much like a wood fired pizza oven. When I am done cooking, let it cool down and roll back into the basement......
