Pump is out

I'm have a pump that is located on the passenger side above the fresh water tank that howling bad. I also don't have floor heat. I called the tech that was listed on another thread (Darin).

He said that the pump has to be replaced but it's not a typical Aqua Hot part and Entegra added it to work with their floor system.

I don't see a name on it but the part number is 17651-151

Anybody have any idea where I can find one other than going through a dealer?

Dave,
I have seen posts where that pump has been replaced with a Buhler, also this recent post by SAS30. http://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/aqua...ph-378347.html

I don't think it is that critical as long as it is a 12v xx gpm. Your old pump might have the GPM listed on it.

I kept one of my working GRI 108's as an emergency replacement for that boost pump.

I Googled that part number and look what name came up GRI. However the part number wasn't listed. Complete Gorman Rupp Pump list

Thanks Chuck! I don't see a brand on it but I called NIRV and they're working on it for me. Should be an easy fix.

I just DE-winterized the coach today for a trip in 2 weeks. As usual when these things sit for a while, they tend to get a bit cranky. I'm glad I found it today instead of waiting until we left.

Glad you did too. Just had that conversation with someone this morning about the number of MH's that arrive in FL for the winter broken because people don't check them before they leave. Service centers in FL love it.

My floor loop pump is a Pabst which is different from the GRI pumps originally in the Aquahot or the Buhler's that replaced them. It looks the same and the output fittings look the same. I think Chuck is right. If and when the Pabst pump fails (and, after 3 1/2 years it is getting louder) I will replace it with a Buhler (or an automotive electric coolant pump).

12days ago I had all four of the old square pumps replaced after pump 2 went out. AH replaced the one pump under warranty, and agreed to sell me the other 3 at a special price because they had agreed to a “ non recall recall” because so many had failed. I was about to leave for Middlebury to have Entegra do my 2 year PDI/AIR and fix all warranty items. First night enroute, 6 days after a great tech in Houston did all four and replaced my fuel nozzle while he was at it, my Zone 2 went bad on the board with a RED light and and no heat in floor or front of coach. 31 degrees outside, thank heaven I had brought a ceramic portable and have a fireplace!
Once we arrived in Middlebury, they triaged the issue and it was not pump 2, just that zone due to pump in water tank compartment that circulates the floor! First night of return trip, I had to lower Zone 2 to 66 on thermostat so we did not cook!

These electric motors regardless if they’re for the shads or pumps, seem to all go bad. I had both of the pumps replaced with the round bueler about 6 months after getting the coach.

At least it looks like an easy fix and NIRV is sending me the part. This is the first time I’ve ever worked with them but they sure are helping me out
