Quick question on Anthem.

Was looking at a friends Newmar the other day and he was able to lift his bed very easily and had a nice storage area under the bed. Seeing as I'm not getting ours until January was wondering does the Anthem have that also?
Thanks again,

All of the ones we looked at did. The older models had a subwolfer under the bed, but the new modles now have the Bose sound bar which should eliminate the subwolfers leaving that space for storage. There is a small air pump for the Select Comfort mattress, but that has not been a problem for us.

Wow, my coach was built the end of May and it's already an "older" model!

The slide mechanism is under one side of our bed. We still have about 1/2 the width of the bed and almost the full length for shortage. The subwoofer doesn't take up much room. Mattress platform has hydraulic assists to help lift it.

The best part, is you saved $3,500. I got caught in the mandatory upgrade. I think I like "older" model better

Anthem quick question

We have a 2014 DLQ and yes there is some storage underneath the bed. One half of the area is the slide mechanism and the other half measures 40X24X13 1/2 with another small area on top of a box they have built up towards the headboard about 24x23x5. In another area there is the pump for the Select Comfort bed-has anyone used this area to store anything?? Our dealership said not to use it but it should be good for something I would think.:thumb

Actually since I'm a glass is half full kind of guy, it's even better than the $3500 not spent. Since trade-in values are now almost always based on NADA MSRP and dealers never want to give you any credit for options, anytime a manufacturer raises it's MSRP mid year, it also raises the value of the earlier models. Now all I have to do is trade-in my old piece of crap to enjoy the benefits!!

We use the under bed area to store the pretty bed coverings that come with the coach. With our critters, we keep washable coverings on the bed and only bring out the good stuff when we're showing off!

We keep the jackknife couch cushion there (we don't use it very often), the box of vacuum pieces, some extra pillows

We use ours much the same.

Word of warning: Place things carefully. With the movement of the slide the configuration under there changes. Amazing how much stronger the slide is that a Swiffer. A little birdie told me that..........

And if your bedroom slide starts acting or sounding funny, it is amazing how a roll of the "softest" toilet paper on the market can play havoc with slide gears. Not that it has ever happened to me But it did to the DW.

I suspect we each have a DW glaring at us.......

Isn't that the truth. Moral to the story as you and Vance said, be very careful what is stored close to the slide motor, especially round rolls of toilet paper that DO move. It is hard to believe that a roll of TP will stop a heavy slide....

Our park process also helps; DW does the inside set up and recover, to include slides, while I do outside! I don't do slides!

The couple times I did the slides I felt like I didn't know what I was doing!
