Les - Best thing to do is check as much as possible in and around the radiator and see if you can verify a leak. Your picture looks like the leak I had with my radiator.

If on your way to Florida, you may want to make a stop at Cummins of Ocala. Setup an appointment for a radiator leak test. They will tell if you have a leak or not. If a leak is present, you can work with them on a replacement. They replaced ours and we’ve been good for almost two years now.

If your under warranty, they’ll work with Spartan on getting you setup with everything you need. Make sure you have Cummins look at your surge tank while your there. If there’s rust they’ll order and replace that as well.....

I contacted Spartan yesterday and provided them with several pictures of the suspect area. They agree there is a core leak in the radiator, and the radiator will need replacement. As I am several months out of warranty they will supply the parts, but I will have to pay for the labor.
They think if I exercise due caution, the coach can be driven safely to a service center.
When I bought my 2017 Anthem I assumed these radiator issues had been solved. Obviously my chassis had some 2016 components....

Well we are limping along towards NIRV In Laweranceville Georgia to get the radiator replaced. The anti-freeze leak is getting worse, with a quart used every 100 miles. It will be good to get her parked where she can get fixed !

Well we managed to get the coach down to NIRV outside of Atlanta. It was leaking fluid at the rate of 3 pints per one hundred miles, before we got her nestled into a spot here. NIRV here seems to be a first class operation, clean , organized and modern .

The crack in my radiator was pretty evident once it was removed. The NIRV chassis tech has done many of these radiators and is quick and efficient.

$1,990 USD....
While I am pleased with Spartan providing the parts, after talking to other people, I am convinced Spartan should have replaced everyone’s radiator without cost to the owner. There are a number of radiators ( old style ) that have been replaced multiple times. If you have an old style radiator, its only a matter of time before it fails. Spartan needs to make this right.

I have a 2017 Aspire, how can I tell if I have the “old style radiator”. I have an appointment in two weeks at Spartan for my last check before the end of my warranty.

The new style radiator has a different bracket on the aft side. The most obvious feature is several 9/16 inch bolts holding it in place....

I lost a lot of respect for Spartan over these radiators. They did replace mine without an issue, BUT this problem should have gone away a LONG TIME ago.

Their catch phrase of the "best RV chassis made" isn't worth much these days in my book. A good company would have stood up and warrantied these for several years. They couldn't do what was right because they knew that there were more problems yet to come.

I wonder what what percentage of these coaches 2013-2017 mid year have had the radiators replaced ?
