Read this - Rope light melt/fire

I was perusing other forums and a guy on the Winnebago forum posted about a melted connector on a rope light causing scorching. Not attempting to critique another brand here, just pointing out the same kind of 110v rope lights are used around the baseboards in Entegras. On my previous Aspire I had one of these connectors get messed up because the slide would pull too much on the slack. It is not inconceivable this couldn't happen to an Entegra. Not trying to make everyone worry. Just trying to warn folks to keep an eye on these lights.

Good info! I'm pretty sure that those are 12v though, at least mine run off the Spyder panel.

Not that it matters, 12v can still can cause a fire although one would hope the fuse would go first.

Also, the newer coaches have LED's for the accent lighting so they may be less prone to going up in flames.
