Remodel options

I remember someone on this forum that had some remodeling done in Indiana. Can someone share with me the company that builds custom cabinets for RVs.

Paul’s RV
66540 St Rd 19
Waikarusa IN 46573
United States
*(574) 862-6778‬

Paul does great work and can match anything. He is not good at returning calls however so be persistent and don’t give up. He has work on several coaches for me and always has done great work at a reasonable price.

Which one in Florida Marc. We might add a hutch to the B.

My interior remodel was done by Classic Coach Works and I am more than pleased with their work. They replaced my sofa with a Lambright recliner, built new cabinets, replaced some window shades, ran some new wires for me, installed a new HDMI TV system, and more. Everything works and the cabinetry looks like it was there from the factory. Highly recommended.

Well here’s the deal......

Over the past 41 years Ginny and I have remodeled homes to fit our needs. In planning our next RV, I asked Ginny what she didn’t like about our “15” RBQ. And then I listed what I didn’t like. In the end we’ve decided that if we were to upgrade we’d probably go with the new Anthem due to the upgraded Agua Hot and the air ride system. After looking at the money involved we’ve decided to remodel our unit.

We’ll start with taking the love seat, booth, and sofa out. Move the TV and fireplace where the love seat currently sits. Put in a theater seats and a computer desk that can be extended for quilting. Next the LP tank is coming out and a new 450 Aqua Hot with the engine loop will be installed. This will also give us another storage bay. The last thing I’ll do is have the “active air” installed.

In all I figure 50K will do the job. When I’ve looked at new units it would be 100k so I figure I’m up. This will be an easy task compared to what we’ve done with houses and commercial buildings.

Dave, I applaud your decision.

In addition to being financially sound, you will no doubt avoid the new coach teething pains.

Your upgrades will certainly give your coach a new lease on life and make it more enjoyable.

While LP certainly is a fine option, having a diesel fired AH is very nice.

I’ll second what Matt said.

We’ve been in our ‘17 Anthem now for two years and think we have finally got all the bugs out. We’ve had the same discussions as you about upgrading and really don’t want to go through this process again.

I’ve started to look at the same upgrades that you have, especially the active air ride and a few others. We may end up going this route and enjoying what we have.

Good luck with your modifications.

In addition to the other comments, I would add that after the upgrades your coach will have customized features that even a new coach would not have. In order to fit your preferences, the new one too would have to be modified!

We’ve thought about looking for a 15 Cornerstone or Anthem and adapting it to what we want but we’re afraid of issues that my come with the new coach. I’d really like to have the bigger steer tires.

Dave, I know your feelings we debated the same thing over and over. Still hope we made the right choice.
