Reset Equalizer null

Procedure is simple; level the coach, turn Equalizer power off, hold Auto Level button, turn Power back on. 5-6 beeps null is reset.

When I do it I get a steady tone, not a series of beeps. Did I mess up a simple procedure?

Vance, try rebooting with the 12V power switch. I am finding any weird power problem, rebooting has solved most of them.

Can't get ours to "null" even though it beeps several times. It's on our punch list for August. No matter what we do the level is always off the same way. High in the rear, high on the right.

I don't know about the Entegra's, but on the TS with the Equalizer system I had the same problem not holding the null. They had to change the central computer located in the center of the MH between the frame rails.

Mine would level 3 or 4 time, then be off completely.

New Equalizer programming

Not to hijack the thread but when I was at the factory last week I asked for the new programming Pat Bauer mentioned. Evidently their Equalizer rep loaded it up. It seems to work better than before primarily by running the "up" program longer resulting in less errors. (I used to always need to run the up cycle twice to stop the jack alarms). The "down" programming has been improved to prevent the coach from what they call "chugging" when leveling which is evidently scooting when leveling.

They also nicely reset the level null.

P.S. The group on tour at the factory asked how do you determine level in your coach. PJ from CS said use a four foot level mid floor in the coach. He said the best way to determine if you are level is if your mid bath door does not swing one way way or the other (remains where it was opened).

Mine will not null correctly either. After null (multiple times) it still auto "levels" nose down.

I had the problem where the rear was higher than the front. I would set it level, set the null and when it would reset it would be high in the rear. They sent me a new control box and had the same problem.
I finally got a tech on the phone that told me that they have a variance of up to 1/4" in a 4' level. In a 45' coach that is about 3" which is what mine was out. We set the bus out of level the opposite way 1/4" in a 4' level, set the Null and it leveled perfectly for a year now.

Good idea Terry! After many Nulls my coach still leveled with the back high. I then used the manual controls to finally level.I'll try your approach next time.

Terry, that is a fantastic idea!! I did not know about the variance in longer coaches. Great information. That should solve a few problems for others.

Terry, that is an interesting solution to out smart the control box....we have the same problem with the back always higher than the front and the passenger side higher than the drivers side. I have set the null serveral times and when we were at Entegra's service center they set the null three times and it was still off.

They gave me an email from the Service and Warranty Manager at Equalizer Systems, he stated the following:
The leveling system tolerance is 7/16" on a 4' level side to side.
So from side to side it an be off 7/8"
40' long unit can be off 4 3/8"
This info is quoted directly from his email!
