Steve, that is great news and, if true, confirms my belief that it was most likely a software issue. I'll be going to Spartan for the class next August so hopefully it can be fixed then.

Emerson,
I'm not from Missouri so time will tell if we can believe what has been told. Hopefully Spartan has finally corrected their error instead of coming up with less than intelligent responses.

Thanks Steve, I will check on that. When I had the Cummins ECM updates done, the Spartan update to stop the bogus CEL codes had to be done by Spartan. I was able to have that done at the Spartan shop at Entegra. Cummins in Ocala FL did not have the Spartan updates but Spartan told me they did. I don't know which updated caused the Average MPG to no longer be reset. I think, it was Cummins, but not sure.

On our 2015, we were able to reset the AVG MPG. I was surprised it would not reset on our 2016. While at the Spartan Academy in May, I brought this to the attention of our service writer. She noted it, they (Spartan) corrected it. It took a couple of tries via laptop computer, but they finally corrected it. The guys in the service bay did not have the correct software on their laptops. Sounds like they do now.

Hope this helps, Brian

I'll just be glad to have it working like it used to. It was frustrating to hear that it was a Cummins problem and nothing could be done. Not sure that wasn't just a "Go Away" response to put us off until they could figure out what to do - but then maybe it was a Cummins issue and their hands were tied until they could get Cummins to do something.

Might have been fun to listen in on conversations between the Entegra, Spartan and Cummins as unhappy customers called them. BTW - I got the same fingers pointed at Cummins from my dealer and Entegra

Anyway - Fingers crossed.

Push both arrow buttons in at the same time when on that screen. At least, that is how a Classic works.

There's also an app for that I use "Fillup." It will hold multiple vehicles, or trips, keep logs, and even gives a color bar graph.

I have 'Fuel Buddy' and it serves the same purpose. Tracks all my vehicles.

There is another one called "Fuelly" that will even post your MPG to your signature line on a forum after every fill up entry. There is a app for everything.

With "note pad" I don't even use pen and paper anymore, just talk into the phone....done
