RM Corrupted File

Tried to update my RM card and got the dreaded "corrupted file" response. Went to the chat line on website but waited over 20 minutes with no response. Does anyone have the phone contact info for River Park since it will probably require new SD card.

Try these:

River Park - 574-522-7781
Rand McNally - 877-446-4863

You might also try selecting the Settings and Maintenance icon on the Rand McNally dock. This will take you to a Diagnostics icon. Click on that and let it do its magic. Might be worth a try. It certainly can't hurt.

Thanks Brian. It gives me the corrupted file message before I can get to the home page on the Dock software. Dock will not open without a device connected, when I connect the SD card it gives me the corrupted file message. Guess I will wait until Monday and give them a call. Appreciate the phone numbers for RM and RP.

Rand McNally Map update

I downloaded the new Rand McNally Maps update last week to the sd card and then tried updating the unit itself today and got an error message " Map Data not transferred completely. Please reconnect device and transfer map data again". Don't bother, Rand McNally found that there is a problem with the update and they have to go into your computer using Logmein and erase 2 files and then it's supposed to work fine. I just had them into my computer to fix it and will go back to motorhome later today and report back if it worked. It's a known problem and it seems most everyone who's updated to the new Map update had the problem. Once you get them on the phone it's a fairly quick fix. Number I called was 800-333-0136.

So is the update supposed to be fixed now or do you still have to call if you download now

Update

Went to motorhome last night and put the sd card back into the unit and everything worked fine. The fix according to Rand McNally was just getting rid of 2 files on the sd card and they did it by getting into my computer while the sd card was plugged into it. Took just a couple of minutes. Not sure if they have cleaned up the update yet. I downloaded the maps update about a week ago.
