Road Water in Wet Bay

How are you folks keeping the road water out of the wet bay, during a heavy rain? Is it coming in off the wheels through the hole that holds the sewer pump out hose? Or is it entering from some other point?

I didn't know there was a water problem. If there is, this would be a real concern to me.

Which bays are getting wet? I won't drive in heavy rain, so I haven't had the problem.

I had the front DS bay get wet. The gasket was replaced and it has been dry ever since.

I forgot to mention, I adjusted all of my doors when the coach was new. Back then there was a problem of door flying open in travel. Maybe tightening all of the doors is why I haven't had any water leaks, but I still park if the rain is blinding.

I drive in the rain, snow or under any other conditions and I haven't had any water issue yet. Anytime water gets where it's not supposed to be in an RV I get worried

In rain, the LH duals are basically sending a water spray into this area.

If you closely examine how the box is arranged that the macerator hose is housed within, you will notice it is essentially added to the rear wall of the wet bay.

This rear wall happens to also be the forward wall of the LH wheel well.

The duals spray water onto the top of the macerator box, which, if imperfectly sealed will result in water intrusion. You know this happens when you are finding the wet bay floor quite wet, and you also have a wet macerator hose bay. If you examine the floor of the macerator hose storage bay, you will notice what appears to be sand.

This is carried into this compartment by the water.

Seal the top of the box, and seal around the macerator hose, and things should remain dry.

I hope this helps,

-Matt

Had the same issue on the '15. Spray from wheels entering wetbay/rearmost storage bay. Factory visit fixed leak and replaced water damaged floor.

I don't tend to drive in the rain, but have done it a couple times and did get some water into the wet bay. Had Entegra adjust the door, but still got water into the wet bay.

This thread made me start to think about the water getting into my wet bay again. So I took a closer look at the issue. Since the only real difference between other bays and the wet bay AND power bay is the rubber opening for the hoses and power cord to come out. I don't get water into the power bay and a closer look showed that the rubber piece on the door of the power bay over laps the opening where the cord comes out. Nice fit.....No water.

I then took a look at the rubber piece on the wet bay door and it was smaller then the opening where the water hose comes out...I took a few pictures to show the difference in size. I'm thinking that the rubber piece on the door needs to be bigger then what I currently have....Pictures below show the water bay door rubber pieces.

I have had the same problem. Had some water in my sewer Bay compartment after a rainy Drive. It also looks to me that the macerator sewer box is not properly sealed. Another item for my two-year appointment.
