Our coach is insured in Kentucky which is a zero glass waiver state, which means they can't legally charge you a deductible for replacement glass unless you agree to it.
That doesn't stop the insurance companies from asking you if you want to pay extra for zero deductible glass policy!
Turns out that they can legally ask, and if you agree, they can legally charge you the extra premium . . . all for something that Kentucky state law gives you anyway for no additional charge!
I've been asked twice, by two different insurance companies if I want to pay the extra for "full glass coverage". When I ask them what that gives me over what State Law already requires they give me, I get put on hold, and the representative comes back in a minute and doesn't mention it again! Personally I don't think they even know which states are zero glass waiver states and which aren't, they are just going down the checklist of "extras" they are told to!
Over the last 10 years we've had both halves of our coach WS replaced, and probably 4 or 5 automobile windshields replaced. And our rates haven't gone up either . . .
