Runway lights on camera screen while backing up

My runway lights just stopped working. I still have full screen but the runway lights while in reverse now do not appear. Is this a settings thing or do I need to contact support?

"Runway" lights on rear view camera? Really! Never heard of that! On the screen itself and not just bright docking lights outside? What do they do, other than light up? Do they indicate somehow that you are getting off course while backing?

They outline the path that you coach is taking at the width if your coach so you know where you are and the clearance of any close objects behind you. A great help in backing in tight areas. I love them.

Hi IRVs Friends,

Hi, Bill...

Think the solution may be
in running through the
Set Up menu...

Power up your system,
then press the MENU
button for > 2 seconds.
That should then show
you the SETUP screen...

Then use DOWN
arrow to step down to
4. Scale Mode
and you should be
able to choose the
backup scale that
you prefer.

Hope this does
the trick.

Cheers,
Gary

Not really "lights," just markings that appear on the screen.

Yes...dusting and dogs can have interesting things happen. LOL

Last year in our Winnebago during July 4th weekend it got HOT! Running the genny to have AC and it would occasionally shut down and we would loose AC and then the coach would get hot immediately. Could feel heat coming up the floor heater vents! I knew it was hot but didn't think road heat would be that pervasive.

Well...long story short...got on IRV2 and asked questions about the heat coming out of the floor vents and someone (knowing we have 2 GSDs) suggested that maybe they bumped the motor aid heat fan controls on the dash. Yep...there it was, we were running the heater at high setting!

To this day we still blame the dogs.

You know that you need an ATC clearance to get on a runway?

As long as you gave them extra treats after you created the sauna, all should be well.

Thanks for the advice guys, I will try to reset Sunday. We have about a 250ft inclining driveway narrower than I would like from the road past our house and then a right angle turn into our garage where we store the coach. The loss of the runway lights (as I call them) makes it much more difficult.

We have been shopping for a new toad and a few of the cars we have test driven have the feature in the backup camera now as well. The one I remember was the Cadillac SRX.

I just read the other day that backup cameras will be mandatory on all new cars. I imagine more of the manufactures will have this feature as a competition factor.
