Just wondering how many lot owners actually own their lot and have a deed as opposed to buying something and not getting a deeded lot. Seems like if you dont get q deed you are just buying a time share with maintainance costs and fees.
Our lots in Naples Motorcoach Resort and Traverse Bay RV Resort are deeded.

We are considering buying a lot because real estate has gotten so expensive in this area and we are currently renting. There are two types, one where you own a deeded lot, and the other is a "membership" which means you pay one price, and that site is yours until you sell your membership or pass it on to heirs. Both have dues, etc. Although owning your own lot outside of a park would be best, real estate prices and zoning makes it difficult. I would like to hear from experienced lot/membership owners on the pro's and con's of this lifestyle. Thanks.

I would disagree. For me one of the best parts of owning a lot in an established RV park is the friendships and social life, which you would miss out on if you had your own lot somewhere by yourself.

We bought into a brand new resort, Shuswap Lake RV Resort in British Columbia, Canada. Phase 1 is complete on May 14, our lot is 6500 sq ft. Going to see it in July. Until we are retired it will be rented out to campers. Will put a park model on it when retired and travel during the winter. Can't wait
