RVP bad experience

My front A/C unit failed 6 days out of warranty. I called Entegra C/S and spoke to Mike who told me he would contact RVP and ask for help. Mike called me back and told me me he had left a voice mail as no one was answering the phone. I waited a few days and then had the unit replaced as the unit could not be repaired-frozen compressor. The temperature where we were was well over 100 degrees and we NEEDED A/C. Now RVP is claiming they were not notified and therefore will not offer any help. Moral: Buy their extended warranty or avoid RVP products if you can.

Maybe my biggest fear with OEM...I'm at the end of the two year warrantee period, #2 is squeaking and #1 has what sounds like a little vibration sound. I am fearful of the "we can't reproduce" the sound thus must be OK.

The other thing is they sent me the new "horizontal" fan blades with some type of aluminum part raise something. Fortunately, that wasn't the fan that broke (it was the squirrel cage)...but for the love of me, I don't see how you install these new horizontal three fan blade parts that they swear are the correct ones for my units. The sinking feeling is the ground swallowing me up to my ears Probably part of the Entegra seem a new coach to previous owners business plan!!!

OK, color me dense, but what is 'RVP' in this context?

Any idea what their cost of extended warranty is and does it cover all 3 A/c's? I have also had to replace one, under warranty, but that has come to an end.

With considerable prodding from Joyce, RVP has agreed to reimburse us $786. Joyce is the best!!

That's great Joyce got it taken care of. $786. to replace an A/C is not bad.

Way to go Dave. I knew Joyce would help you out. Can't give up our faith in Entegra. It sounds like a fair compromise to me.

Cost was quite a bit over $786. Just glad to get some of it covered at this point.
